Americans are easily scare-able, and I bet the arrest of the Backpage CEO will affect online porn sales for at least a week. Sad as it is, with porn sites having nothing to do with prostitution or Backpage, people will dump them all in the same bag, and "wait and see" before they satisfy their urges and buy a membership.

Hmm I dunno, I don't think so. Most ppl don't GAF about these kinds of scandals - usually there's a few "Won't someone PLEASE thing of the children??" crowds but s far as I know it doesn't affect porn sales one way or another.
Now if this was, god forbid, let's say the CEO of Microsoft or head of like Fox News or CNN that would be a different story and the explosion and effect would be much bigger. -
I don't know but this entire week sales have sucked balls.
