I'm case-studying some tube sites I've came across lately.

I've found some sites belonging to the same guys (I'm guessing this because of the design / approach of the sites) and I'm surprised about their achievements in the SERPS in a very short time, with no backlinks, no exclusive content, no description... just a massive tube site using direct linking to several porn providers (hubtraffic, fantasti.cc, etc.) -they don't even have an embedded player-

The sites are:

gayshore.com, launched on late 2014, 377k daily SEO according to SEMRush. 29 unique IP backlinks.

trannyshore.com, launched on early 2016, 392k daily SEO according to SEMRush. 0 backlinks.

bubbaporn.com, launched on late 2015, 125K daily SEO according to SEMRush. 44 unique IP backlinks.

As you may see, these sites look almost exactly the same. No real content. They are ranking #3 for "gay teen porn", #1 for "black shemales", #3 for "shemale porn" ... you can check all this in SEMRush.

Any clue?

I think time spent on site is not the answer. They are redirecting users out of the sites to see the vídeos so the time spent should not be higher than any other regular tube site! In fact I guess it should be lower as most tube sites stream content using embedded players...

I think they analyze the competition and maintain a certain keyword density using tools such as https://www.pineberry.com/en/analysis-tool/ to compare their site with the competition. Then their website is optimized for the same keywords that are used in the backlinks. That will give them an accelerated indexing boost. And finally, if they update as much or more than their competition, then they should rank well.

I just looked at bubbaporn. The videos are self-hosted, and it has lots of backlinks. Looks black hat to me.

YES. Thank you guys for the responses. I was wrong, bubbaporn is self-hosting videos although the other two are just linking outside. Also I've seen that majestic shows far more backlinks than SEMRush for these sites (around 600) and looking into them, it seems that these guys have a pretty big network in place.

The numbers make sense I think.
