Chaturbate has one of the most Friendly stats systems. Being able to access Affiliate Stats via API is such an amazing savings of time and clicks.

I started with Chaturbate on July 1st since then was getting 700-900 visits a day. From July 15th dropped now to 300 is this a CB issue?

The other part is that as a Broadcaster, I am having completely "dead" nights, followed by great nights. Some viewers tell me they had trouble connecting (like I occasionally have trouble connecting). Some say my picture "freezes".
It's not me, as I am on a University housing ethernet, 35fps, which is the max.
I have far more European viewers than US. Maybe that's me, because at 11pm in the UK, it's only 3-4-5-6pm in the US timezones. What we don't know - and what we can only guess - is the number of members CB already has. Which means already has set a cookie for on any one member's harddrive. If the cookie has been set, it is not "over-written" because the same person came in again from a link you published. If you send them there because of your link, if the cookie is already there, the original referrer gets the new sale.
I've been at this promoting CB since the end of 2013, and I was hardly at the beginning by any measure. I cater to male traffic wanting to watch male broadcasters, where an average night runs around 200 viewers in a room on the first page, with an occasional 1000 in position #1. (lately there has been a weird room from Panama with 2500 viewers! Don't know why, they don't do anything interesting.)
Unlike other sites than manipulate cookies and we loose "lifetime" members through purges or cookie expirations, I truly believe CB is the most honest of the program sponsors out there, and what I earn is truly because of NEW viewers and Broadcasters I send.

Anyone else seen a big slow down in spends since Chaturbate changed the login cookie on Aug 7th that now requires the user to input his password every time he hits the site? I average at least 12 spends a day and its dropped 80% the last 3 days since the change.
Before, the user could simply click his bookmark and hit the site or whitelabel and be auto logged in. Now, whenever they hit the site, even if it's multiple times within the hour, they will have to input their password and there is no password retrieval link under the input box. This not only caused a big drop in daily spends, but I've had a huge surge in new signups the last 3 days, because users can't remember their password and are simply creating new accounts.
I have a large core of at least 50 regular spenders, many who spend in excess of $300 a day. What's frustrating is that if any of them create a new account, they will have to go through the hassle of sending in their id and cc info all over again to up their spending credit limit, and I suspect some won't go through the hassle. Also, if any of my original white label signups are now using another interface such as Cb's main site and decide to re signup because of the password issue, I'll no longer get the credit for their spends.
I realize Chaturbate is trying to improve site security and prevent someone from fraudulently spending on an account that isn't theirs, but not sure this is the best way. If you are going to require the user to enter their password every time they hit the site, at least have a "forgot password" link underneath the input box.
The past 3 days has been my worst 3 day stretch in 4 years promoting Chaturbate and it coincided directly with the new change so I suspect site-wide revenue has taken a hit and CB will be looking for a solution.Comment

I noticed the same. Since the 7th sales have really dropped off. On the 8th I had no sales at all - no spenders that spend almost everyday returned and none of the 35 leads I sent converted.

Yep, I talked to a half a dozen other CB affiliates who all average at least $50+ daily and they too have seen a dramatic dip since the 7th, so I know management has to have seen a big decline in the site's aggregate numbers. I'd love for them to ditch the mandatory login, but if the feel its a necessity, at least put a password retrieval under the new password box.Comment

Hard to tell with your stats because you have one whale that appears to be about 70% of your spends right now. When you have at least a dozen different spenders spending daily, you really notice when the site makes changes that make the user have to alter their normal behavior.
I lost a couple whales a few months ago when the site had a five day stretch of intermittent problems with users not being able to connect to the chat.Comment

The new 2 step process is a REAL pain... but Chrome remembers the PW, so it's just 2 mouse clicks, no typing.

I don't have a lot of spenders because I didn't start this until late, and I promote males,,, but the spenders are still spending. True, down a bit since Spring... but no less because of the nuisance PW redo.

Yeah, if you allowed chrome to save the password, it's a simple click. However, many surfers don't know to click in the box to get chrome to display the password. Also, many mobile devices don't have a password saving feature. I had a surge of new registrations for 3 days after the change, indicating some surfers didn't know their password and just re signed up. I'm just worried some of those were some of the big spenders who had been approved for higher spending limits and now are on a new profile with the low limits.Comment
