This war and most other wars were about profit. WW2 was definitely about profit. Hitler needed to go to war to repay the massive debt he had built up, by building up the military. US made huge profits from WW2.

True. Basically, that is the period where the US got most of the advantage compared to the rest of the world. Which is totally OK, as long as war is not created by the one side to make the profit.
