In very simple terms, the baby boom generation is aging out of the workforce....
It's always comical how when we discuss unemployment, you want to talk about something else - the "true" unemployment rate (which has also been cut in half in the past seven years) and now the "workforce participation rate".

The last time I watched Fox News was back during the Ebola scare. At the time they had flown someone into the US to be treated and the coverage was frankly stunning. They pretty much blamed the breakout of Ebola in Africa on Obama, and then talked about how reckless, careless, and dangerous Obama was for allowing this person to be treated in the United States. Agreed Obama has done a good job given all the opposition against him. He made a huge mistake in getting involved in the ME. We have to learn to leave these guys to sort out their own countries or kill each other. Debt is due to too low taxes and too much spending. Both could be fixed, will you pay more in taxes? The US cannot cut enough to keep them as low as they are, it's the best part of trickle down.
