Just out of curiosity (this is not an endorsement of any government) what freedoms do you wish you had that you don't have because the government is keeping you from practicing said freedoms?

Hey...I know that it seems pretty fucking obvious but let's face it...a lot of cunts just still don't get it!

They actually think they have some say in their government so they can have the illusion that they are some how in control of their lives and not just manipulated sheep being led to slaughter by their keeps.

        Simple really...

You can in some states, but this is a legit answer otherwise. Most people I ask this question of have no real answer.

The feds haven't even considered changing their position. That's what most liberals don't get. Because of the Constitution that they hate so much is why the State's are able to make it's own decisions. If they had their way and did away with the Constitution then no more state rights..

Most liberals I know don't hate the Constitution, but you are right, the feds so far have shown no interest in changing pot's status on a national level. Neither of the current candidates is going to change that. However, I think we will see more and more states legalizing and eventually it will be like gay marriage. Eventually, we will end up with multiple states that have legal pot and then it will be challenged on a federal level and end up in front of the supreme court. What they do with it remains to be seen.

All that said, I think as countries go we have a hell of a lot more freedom than many countries in the world.

I'd bet if you spent a little bit of time on the beaches of California talking to nothing but liberal stoners about signing a petition to toss out the Constitution 90+ percent would ask where they could sign away their newly achieved "right". In fact I should email Mark Dice about doing it.. lol Have you seen the clip of them being upset about Trump's son killing a dinosaur?

I'm sure if you go to the right places and find the right people you can find plenty of conservatives that feel the same way. Both sides of the political spectrum have plenty of idiots in them.

That said, this wasn't a post about liberal vs conservative. I was just curious what freedoms a person wanted that they don't have. You made a great point about pot. I'm curious if others have other things they would like to be able to do that they can't.

It really does go hand in hand though. Our "rights" are decided by those two sides of the coin.. More people need to think about getting away from that flip of the coin. If we truly want to be a diverse culture then why do we allow only two mindsets to decide our future?

To add to that. I had an actual Representative of my state email me to explain the 10th Amendment to him several years ago. This is a guy who represents his people that didn't even understand it. Why? Because we are taught the Feds are the supreme deciders. Why are ANY Supreme court justices left or right? Why is that even a discussion?

Easy to compile that list. These may not apply to you today, but it's only a matter of time.

                          A) A Job. In the past 50 years government policy has led to jobs being exported.

                          B) A job paying a decent wage. The jobs that replaced the above are generally low paid.

                          C) Healthcare. No need to discuss that, Americans are ass raped for it.

                          D) Housing. Home ownership is getting expensive in some countries. The future looks bleak.

                          E) Crime. Low pay and levels of unemployment leads to an increase in crime.

                          F) Safety. Government policy over the last 50 years has made us all less safe.

Don't tell me you're all right. Look at all the graphs and calculate when it hits you. As for the "I will fight my way out of it" approach. So will 100,000 other people in your area.

There's one section who "Have never had it so good." That's not any of us.

And meanwhile people are worried about legalising pot. Give me a break, you are the problem.

A lot of people might argue that these are more along the lines of basic human rights and now freedoms per se.

I am talking about things where people say, "I would love to be able to do (instert whatever it is), but the government won't allow it."

My contact with the government is limited to a handful of times a year. This year so far... IRS and now DMV to renew my license (by mail).

I am pretty much free to do whatever I want so long as I do not murder or rape someone.

Perhaps if you moved to an actual city (such as L.A.) you might have to remove those rose colored classes you wear. You would see that you are always under the watchful eye of the establishment and if you step out of line you will pay on way or another.

If you leave your property you lose rights. Even staying on your property you are being ass raped. You pay property taxes for the honor of being allowed to live in your home on your property.

If you fail to do that you will be fined, have the property seized, and you could even be jailed.

So you are in fact under government control ALL of the TIME. You are one of those who really know that rights are being taken away bit by bit BUT until it affects you personally you don't care. Well, open your eyes...get it yet?

your property doesn't even feel like it's yours... in many areas:
                                            - you can't even construct a deck (or really anything) by your house without getting permission from the government first, paying permit fees, etc...
                                            - you can't even start a campfire in your own backyard...
                                            - can't operate a business from your own property...
                                            - when someone walks on your property and gets harmed in any way, you are responsible, just by the mere fact that it happened on your property
                                            - taxes can be raised at any time, for any reason, and you have virtually no say in it, i.e. "we are constructing a new refugee welcome center, so we'll raise your property taxes by $2000/year, don't like it, tough luck..."...

democracy in the USA is the equivalent of poor people voting on who will compete in a high tech yacht race...the event itself has nothing at all to do with the poor, the crew of the yachts are there for personal pleasure and profit, and the yacht does not belong to the poor in any way shape or form, but they still pay for it...but it is a very very good yacht with carbon fiber composite shit and high tech stuff etc...

the competitors/candidates in a yacht race can never ever be poor...money is the single most important factor, then comes money and money in places 2 and 3 and then comes ability in a distant 4th place...a competitor with lots and lots of money can literally whip his dick out and urinate on the voters and they will love him for it...

the winner of the vote will get to have fun in the yacht and it will be payed for by the poor...he will race only for himself and his crew mates and will not split the prize with anybody but them...but the poor will be trippin' "this is our yacht and he is our captain"

Your government owns you. If there is a war and you are deemed young enough and fit you can be forced into the military to die for your country regards of you not wanting that.

Just curious why you are still here then? There are plenty of countries that have very little in the way of actual government so you will pretty much be free to do anything you would like to do. I'm not saying the government doesn't control our lives, I'm just saying there are other options out there and you are free to move to any of them.

in the USA i could think of 1000 at least

let me give you an example

if i drive down the street without a seatbelt on i will get puled over and have to pay $100+ now why the fuck should the government decide that i have to wear a seat belt ?

just 1 dumb example of being forced to do shit so insurance companies can make more $$$ not that im against wearing a seat belt but i should not be fucked for $$$$ if i dont.

let me give you an example

if i drive down the street without a seatbelt on i will get puled over and have to pay $100+ now why the fuck should the government decide that i have to wear a seat belt ?

just 1 dumb example of being forced to do shit so insurance companies can make more $$$ not that im against wearing a seat belt but i should not be fucked for $$$$ if i dont.
Fair enough. I have always said the government's job should no be to protect me from me. I agree with this one.

I am talking about things where people say, "I would love to be able to do (instert whatever it is), but the government won't allow it."

I doubt very much if the Founding Fathers create the First Amendment to mean Freedom of Speech. They would have been shocked to the core now it's been given to Native Americans, African Americans and Hispanics.

They wrote it to apply to the White Middle Class. And themselves. Because they then went on to write the Second Amendment so they had enough guns to shoot anyone who said the wrong thing.

Think on it with the mindset and times of the writers.
