Thought I would upgrade my internet experience

Bought a nice and shinny new dual band modem/router. This thing is suppose to make my old setup look like a pinto racing a ferrari. Well, no such luck. Shit is loading slower than dialup aol. Lucky for me the old setup is no longer supported by my provider so I'm stuck with this piece of shit until I get pissed off enough and send it 3 stories down. I'll likely be internetless sooner rather than later.

Try this one. I just bought it a couple of months ago and it rips.

I am very pleased with, and have been for years, with the equipment from Netgear. Their support is even better, real techs answering the phone lines which impresses even me, who ran a tech division of 12 for three years.

I had a cisco modem and netgear router. Bought this arris sbg6900 with plans to upgrade service once either comcast or google finally gets setup with their gigabit services here.. I'll probably just add my netgear router to it for now I guess..

So I figured out the problem. It has to do with the firewall on these arris modem/router combos. The firewall is more or less treating pages with loads of shit as a DoS rendering the firewall in these useless unless you like living in the AOL days.
