"Body Shaming is Horrible, Unless it's Against Men"

A few weeks ago the anti-body shaming community was up in arms about an LA Fitness gym member being mocked by Playboy model Dani Mathers.

The outrage went viral, and eventually Mathers apologized for the Snapchat post that featured her making fun of another female patron (who was naked by the way.)

Personally, I feel like the outrage was justified. I think that it was disgraceful to post a picture of the woman, who was nude, without her knowledge and in a scornful manner.

I am not a devout follower of the anti-body shaming movement, but on the Dani Mathers incident, I was in agreement with them.

Body shaming is horrible when it's a female victim, but what about male victims?

There does seem to be an inconsistency in the conviction of a portion of the anti-body shaming movement's subscribers.

Yesterday, a nude Trump Statue was removed in Union Square. Beforehand there were crowds of onlookers taking a delightful approach to the art work. And that's fine, people are entitled to laugh at whatever they want to laugh at, I admit I chuckled at it.

But what struck me as rather disappointing, yet not surprising, was the amount of liberal, social justice advocates that praised the art work.

I will say, as an artist myself, the piece was crafted rather well.

If you're vehement about dismantling the 'patriarchal, oppressive standard of beauty', however, why would your conviction stop here?

Because it's Donald Trump? Would Donald be more accepted if he was well-hung with a young, "ripped up" looking body?

I'm not a fan of Donald Trump myself and I would never vote for the guy (you're on a Libertarian Blog ), but conviction to a right's movement should not be situational in this respect.
