TSA agents find a 3-D printed revolver in a carry-on bag

    hotlinked

Batman ninja stars. Jawbone tomahawks. Oversized liquor bottles filled with dead seahorses. The Transportation Security Administration stops a wide array of strange, exotic and sometimes deadly items from coming onto airplanes.

Now we can add 3-D printed guns to the list.

The TSA says a plastic revolver assembled with a 3-D printer was among the 68 firearms the agency confiscated from carry-ons around the country during the week ending Aug. 5.

TSA agents discovered the weapon in a passenger's luggage during screening at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The gun was a replica, but was loaded with five live .22-caliber bullets, the agency said.

Always thought they were too busy strip searching Veterans to find any real threat. Had to be the bullets, as their just too stupid.
