It disturbs me to my core': Fox News staffers express outrage over Hannity's rally appearance

New York (CNN)Fox News journalists were outraged and disgusted after Sean Hannity, the network's star host, campaigned with President Donald Trump on Monday night ahead of the midterm elections, more than half a dozen employees told CNN Business.

"People throughout the company think a new line was crossed," one senior Fox News employee told CNN Business on Tuesday.

"It disturbs me to my core," said another senior Fox News employee, who added, "I am so f---ing mad."

"We were all told that Hannity was going to interview the president, but no one that I spoke with expected what happened last night," added a third senior Fox News employee. "I'm aghast as are a number of other people."

Also, why would staffers who work for Hannity be angry over this?

Fox News issued a rebuke of on-air hosts Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro for appearing onstage Monday night at President Trump’s Missouri rally in support of Republican candidates.

“Fox News does not condone any talent participating in campaign events,” a spokesperson said in a statement.

Its easy for me to think that despite the differences, many of them are friends or at least, friendly, and talk to each other often.

Hannity states his views and he reports on stories of the day. He has journalists on and other experts to help back up his opinion. Lemon and the others do the same thing. They are the same thing. It doesn't matter what they may or may not call themselves. They are speaking to their base. If you are okay with Hannity basically being a mouthpiece for Trump you have to be okay with Lemon being one for the liberals.

first.. don't say 'fake new's' as you are better than this. That statement hurts your nation directly every time you or anyone else with a voice do it. It is a lie and manipulation in itself. All those organizations have been reporting correct and true news for longer than most of us have been alive and calling them 'fake' now for political sway is shameful, truly. If you want to call their opinion pieces and hosts slanted and one sided that is totally fair and probably true in some cases, much as fox has its own commentary opinion hosts on their network. But calling their reported stories 'fake' because you don't like the story is simply pathetic...

Second, who else would they possibly go to to say how they feel about this incident? Fox's anchors have no problem calling out their own networks bullshit so it would barely make sense for them to hide anything. They are probably producers or someone behind the scenes that know they can't go within their own organization because they would most likely be let go.

Fox stands on the side of journalists, including the ones in those organizations you listed for the very same reasons I have said here. The question is, why don't you?
