Ray Donovan - Season Four

Am I the only one who thinks this is by far the worse season yet?

The story makes no sense, the "bad guys" and other new characters are completely unbelievable. I really hope they end the show after this season because it really feels like their reaching. I think Ray forvies Mick for all his fuck ups of the past and Mickey dies in the last episode.

Best season was the first, followed by the second, and it got worse from there.

There's so many shows on TV (Mad Men are another example) that are just run into the damn ground until they're unwatchable. Some shows only need 1-3 good seasons and then go out with a bang instead of a whimper. Ray Donovan is turning into one of those shows

This show even at it's worst is still better than 90% of the crap out there. This season I'm loving Mick's antics and usual fuckups. Lisa Bonet's character was made for her, and as I watch her bullshit unfold I can't help thinking that I've known women just like that in the past.

It's Ray's annoying wife that gets my eyes rolling. And that idiot son of his.

Yeah all over the place.... the casino heist was just silliness. Russian Mob, Art Heists, etc....

Hoping it recovers... but I am afraid Ray has jumped the shark.

Yeah, really stupid.... but the worst is the art dealer bitch, she seems like some corny villain out of batman cartoon, why does she have to talk so funny? Can't she just talk normal? Completely unbelievable and the sex scene from the last episode was so just plain ugh... disgusting and also pointless.

I'm still enjoying it. Real life doesn't always work in orderly ways and people often go on tangents in their business and personal lives, so why should a tv character's life be any different?

Just how the show started, with Ray kidnapping the Russian and placing his prints on the guy, to get him framed, then turning him over to the police. The whole ordeal was just ridiculous.

I haven't watched this yet.... I am not about to pay yet even more for my cable TV just so I can watch one series. I'll just wait until it's on Netflix or on CD.

I did this the Sopranos and a few others and it was great - watched the entire thing at once.

This season wasn't too bad, but after seeing this thread last month I watched the first two season of Gomorrah (along with the movie) and loved every minute of it. Can't wait for the 3rd season to start.

Love the show, but the finale was very disappointing. It made no sense. It's as if the writers thought, "Oh crap, we've burned up too much airtime what with priests and all that moping. We just have 15 minutes left to wrap this up!"

I watched the first season of the show and was pretty neutral about it. A couple episodes into Season 2 and I gave up on it.
