Clinton used an email set up similar to prior Secretaries of State, including Condoleezza Rice and Colin Powell. This was common, and until recently a number of people in Congress do this. This is not illegal.

Saying she lied is a bit of a stretch of the imagination. First off, you cannot expect her to know all of the details of tens of thousands of emails over her entire period as Secretary of State. Then there is the fact some of the emails were not classified when sent, but were classified at a later date. One of the "classified emails" that was classified after it was sent was a reminder about wishing another head of state "happy birthday".

The Republican party has created a monster. Instead of attacking her on her lack of record and accomplishments, they tried to smear here with silly campaigns about Benghazi and emails. With Benghazi it was a terrorist attack no one saw coming, no one could have prevented, and no one could have done anything to change the outcome. With the email crap, it's just not illegal for her to send classified email over a private server. The end result is ten investigations that has turned up nothing. Now we have another investigation into her email (because we haven't wasted enough time or money on this issue already) and now another investigation into the Clinton foundation for some such nonsense. It's like the only thing Congress does at this point is investigate Clinton.

Meanwhile, a real crime has been committed - the DNC was hacked - yet no Republicans are demanding we investigate that.
