    Unarmed man shot by Miami police asks: 'Why?' says officer replied: 'I don't know'


    In the video, Kinsey can be seen asking police not to shoot him, and trying to get his patient to lie on the ground as police surround them. His patient was sitting up and playing with a toy truck.

    He said he told the officers that neither he nor his patient, who he said is autistic, were armed.

    Police ended up firing three times, striking Kinsey in the leg.

                                                                                                                                                              I am sure there is more going on than what we see in the video. There was reports of a "man with a gun" and officers had rifles out. On one hand police are scared - so many people are armed with assault rifles and they never know what is going on. On the other hand, instead of having a stand off with these two why didn't police officers just walk up to them? Until the moment they see a firearm, these people are unarmed.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  The shooting the other week I did wonder if when he said I have a licence for a gun then put his hand down, to get his licence, the cop though he meant he was going for his gun.

I could not see how anyone would have thought there was a danger.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  A while ago I remeber seeing an officer at a long way away shoot the horns of a deer as they had got locked fighting and would have died. One shot was amazing. Both deer ran off safe.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  My only presumption is, the police had a story (I mean what they were told on there radios) that someone was waving a gun about and they (with recent events) had panicked and thought some nut was running around with a gun.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  So it could be the cop simply thought it was some loony with a gun and shot him for safety reasons.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  I could imagine he gets a report on his radio that someone has been spotted with a gun and is acting odd or somthing.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  So it could be a case of what he was told, was the reason he shot the chap.

                                                                                                                                                                                                  I am in the UK and I know even UK police have almost shot people because they had a report of someone having a gun, when it turned out not to be.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      The police officer shoot at white guy of course, but his bullet was attracted by leg of the black guy (if you didn't know, all black guys in the USA have a superpower - they work like a magnet for police bullets). That's why policeman said "I don't know..." He really don't understand how that could happen.
