If either of you are trying to say that either of our main two planes in action: B2 or F-117 are ineffective because "cell phone towers can detect them" are obviously misinformed. The entire Desert Storm mission in Baghdad was carried out by nothing but F-117's...all undetected, with perfect strikes. So far in Iraqi Freedom, the B2's and F-117's have had perfect missions as well...

i didn't say it's ineffective. but, eventually when more countries catch on, it will become less effective. it must be somewhat of a concern, or the government would not be trying to come up with a new design..

Yeah, technology is advancing...nothing good will last forever. I believe even our latest F-22 has some stealth technologies while maintaining the capabilities of our F15/F16/F18s (even better than those actually). I'd imagine the US Gov't has though of all these things about 1000x deeper than you or I ever have.

yes, the f22 is an amazing aircraft. as far as "maintaining capabilities", it surpasses those. it can fly circles around an f16. i'm not aware of any "stealth capabilities" on it, but the thrust vectoring is pretty sweet.
