    Stupid questions about Western Democraty.

64% citizens of Russian Federation vote for Putin (i'm not and must live in deep of Siberia for this now). But Putin is dictator, as you know.
How many citizens of UK vote for leader of Western World Theresa May? Who is Theresa May??? How many citizens of UK know her before today?
And how long Angela Dorothea Merkel will another leader of Western World? Merkel - 11 years, Putin - 12 years at this time. But Putin is dictator, as you remember

    Looks like double standarts, no?

Yes, it does. Hilariously, England and Germany elect representatives by majority vote, who then promptly ally with anyone into groups called coalitions to gain power, then place a prime minister, or in Merkel's case bundeskanzlerin.

In all the cases you mention above, the people have no damn say at all in who runs their country, or the European Union. Not even the leaders of European countries have any real individual say in who runs the European Union. So the country leader position is once removed and the leaders of Europe are twice removed. So those fat-ass poof-haired FIFA looking motherfuckers who run Europe have absolutely zero accountability to the common man. The only requirement seems to be the same as people who design shoes, i.e. that your first name be some other nationality than your last name, like Jean-Claude Juncker or Manolo Blahnik.

They call it nationalism when a person wants to have some say in who runs their life.

However ...... Dictators have people killed when they disagree. Do you believe Putin has people killed routinely? Who knows.

To me, whether you have 1% freedom or 2% freedom matters, but not as much as some people think. Cause nobody on this earth is free except the very top elite.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting for who is dinner.

Most governments are intended to be representative republics today.

With the daily administration by either a President (as in federalist system) or by a Prime Minister (in a parliamentary government). The UK is a constitutional monarchy, many countries are. Germany is a federal republic with fair elections. There are fair elections in the UK also -- only the CT nuts contest this.

The EU has a Parliament and all the member countries participate -- the voting by the parliament is fair. Just because on nation does not agree with another nation means nothing. That is the same as one state being pissed off because another state gets more than it puts in -- there is never true equality only compromise in the US Congress. Compromise toward mutual benefit. There is no Article 51 in US law -- we are stuck with each of 50 states -- good and bad.

Official or institutionalized corruption makes this little more than an illusion in some places. Putin is an elected President -- 36% of the voters opposed him -- so there was a contested election -- I can't reliably address official corruption in Russia -- I don't live there and see things first hand.

I'd say most that watch the news will know her well, going back many years.... she's not an unknown or a particular threat but she will most likely be more of the same old style politics.

64% is not really much. The US president George Bush Jr. has 90% approval support in 2001 when every 9 of 10 Americans were happy to start a war against Afghanistan (ruled by Taliban created by CIA) and their former ally Iraq because... hmm... actually there was no reason and the the US people just wanted to feel the taste of blood because it was a fun to them.

So Putin sucks in comparison to the greatest president of the United States of America for all the times.

                those are good examples

are you able to give an example of any of our leaders changing their constitution in order to retain power? (gerrymandering would be a good example, yet no changes to constitution , )

i kinda liked your leader until he attempted to lecture a republic on their 'lack of democracy'. which was hilarious, considering his own democratic history.

                those in glass houses, yes?

Stupid? If they approve Kosovo independence and Brexit - they are clever, but they are stupid if they support the people of Crimea? What do you smoke?

Tell me a single reason why Kosovo was good (thousands of killed and refugees - the USA at its best) and Crimea was bad (human casualties = 0 because of evil Putin)? Is that how western propaganda works?

All I can say is that I don't understand why Poutine is so popular, yeah is a dictator and as far as I know Russia is not a democracy, still ruled by a bunch of elite guys who crushes opposition every chance they get. Still Russian people seems to be happy so why not?

                                            Western democracy?

I think it would be a good idea...

Unfortunately there is no direct voting system in the States. The voting system used there is the indirect one. For example, Al Gore got more votes than Bush Jr., but who was elected?

The EU has no intention of being democratic. It was created undemocratically and will do its utmost not to allow any more referendums. The people will have to force them on governments.

Its eventual aim is to rule Europe from the center with very little accountability. State Govenments have already being made second class. Now the aim is to make them third class.

Dictatorship is one wolf voting and the sheep doesn't get a say.

You know very little about the EU and how laws are created, debated or voted on. It was created undemocratically and has no intention of becoming democratic. However there is a Veto that any country can use, so yes someone can block a law they don't like. The problem is the mindset of those voting. Until recently they were career politicians who believe everything would be fine. Research how the Euro was created.

I don't see me living in Europe the coming years, maybe Portugal in the end.
But first i must go there and see how it is like. Than my freedom is gone.

I do travel the world; I've been on 4 continents this year. I know quite a bit about banking. Being able to travel is nice, but not free. Imagine yourself with family, what would you do then?
