After the war is over...

I predict
1. The average Iraqi will be better off.
2. Many Iraqi's who are too afraid to say anything now will speak openly about their loathing of the Saddam regime.
3. The French will lose 127 Billion US dollars in oil contracts.
4. German instumentation will be found in weapons labs
5. Russian weapons will be found in huge quantities
6. Other Arab nations will need to move toward democracy.
7. Iran will continue it's move toward democracy
8. A lot of you who are against the war today will sleep better knowing that a major source of terror funding is gone

Just a few guesses

It may take 10-20 years, but yep.

A friend of mine is Persian. Her father and his family are actually from Iran. They fled to the United States about 15-20 years ago to escape death.

I just found out about this last night. Very scary stuff.

I think there will be more terror as a direct result of the war. One doesn't need a lot of money to commit act of terror. I can make very lethal bombs with stuff you can buy in any supermarket. So can anyone else.

There will be terrorism in the world as long as the fundemental problems of povertyand freedom are left unsolved. If people have a full stomach and hope for the future they are less likely to die for a cause.

Iraq had a well educated affluent society until sanctions. I wager after the war and few years they will once again be a stable society. There is no history of terrorism in Iraq except that sanctioned by the State.

If you think there are terrorists that can hit the US and aren't your nuts pal. They are not going to stop until we find them and kill them.

On the off hand chance that some maniac want's to strap a bomb to himself and blow up a mall. Let's get it over with now.

This war may never end. I believe that by waging this war you are planting the seeds of your own destruction... economic destruction at the very least. Maybe you haven't been seeing the protest throughout the arab world with regards to this little war of yours. How many tens of millions of suicide bombers and terrorists do you think this war will create? These people and their children and maybe even their children are going to take your economy to the cleaners over the next few generations. The stockmarket is built on confidence and they are going to tear that apart. Look what happened to the stockmarket after September 11.

I watch news on Arabic TV, so I do see the protests. I believe that will reverse when and if the people of IRAQ speak out after the war.

Saddam is counting on the protests, France and Russia to force the US to stop. If Bush has the balls to follow through Saddam will use the chemical weapons, scuds and perhaps more in a last desperate stand. The Palestinians asking him to use chemical weapons on Israel forget that he has killed more muslims than anyone else in the world. They will remember when the Iraqi people remind them or Saddam gases them with a Scud landing in the West Bank.

I believe you are mistaken....

History has shown over and over that there is a period of growth after winning a war.

There have been war protesters since the civil war and every conflict since - nothing new - no big deal.

"tens of millions of suicide bombers" - I guess it's safe to assume you exaggerate a little huh? OR is that wishful thinking on YOUR part?

Stock market the first week of the war is making great gains.

Our "next generations" will be the stongest Americans in history - just wait and see...

You anti-americans with all your made up and exaggerate bull shit is funny as hell - sit back and watch us pal.

That's easy to say... but since 9/11 2001, it hasn't happened.

It might again - with or without this war.

The option was NOT to do nothing.

Much as I hate the war alternative I believe you are correct the only other options were to wait until more terror was inflicted. Saddam was in a box but he did not like it an has too much wealth to be contained. His money and those who lust it made him too dangerous and impossible to defang with less viloent means. This war is about oil, the immorality that oil money could purchase.

I can't wait for the Iraqis to tell their fellow Arabs that they are pissed that they wanted them to live under Saddams rule for the rest of their lives.

There was a pro war protest in Kuwait the other day. I wonder why? Maybe because they know first hand what his animals do to people.

It's just a matter of time.

And Joe, you better watch your back. The Aussies are exactly sitting on a fence here you know.
