I wonder how many of these ANTI-WAR activists are truly sincere in their cause as well. Think about it. How many of them gave a shit about Iraq during the sanctions? Or any other 3rd world country for that matter.

How many of them are "humanitarians", and donate their time and money to helping starving kids in places like Cambodia, Haiti, Nigeria, or wherever they may be? Half of those anti-war fuckers are full of shit just as much as the 'other side'. It's pathetic.

They're just as brainwashed as the next guy. Stop your crying and do something good if you don't like what's going on. Stop protesting, and get actively helping in some way. Donate your time... go yourself to thes countries and volunteer your services. Join an organization that helps feed the children or something. And not just by donating 40 cents a week or whatever... but something truly meaningful. If you're THAT concerned, help someone in need or shut the fuck up.

One hundred years ago the American flag was rarely seen in the classroom or in front of the school Upham changed that. In 1888, the magazine began a campaign to sell American flags to the public schools. By 1892, his magazine had sold American flags to about 26 thousands schools1.

By February 1892, Francis Bellamy and Upham had lined up the National Education Association to support the Youths' Companion as a sponsor of the national public schools' observance of Columbus Day along with the use of the American flag. By June 29, Bellamy and Upham had arranged for Congress and President Benjamin Harrison to announce a national proclamation making the public school flag ceremony the center of the national Columbus Day celebrations for 18924.

Bellamy, under the supervision of Upham, wrote the program for this celebration, including its flag salute, the Pledge of Allegiance. His version was,

"I pledge allegiance to my flag and to the Republic for which it stands -- one nation indivisible -- with liberty and justice for all."

This program and its pledge appeared in the September 8 issue of Youths' Companion5. He considered putting the words "fraternity" and "equality" in the Pledge but decided they were too radical and controversial for public schools6.

The original Pledge was recited while giving a stiff, uplifted right hand salute, criticized and discontinued during WWII.

i've seen a ton of proof on google (type in "saddam has killed") that hes killed all in all, approx 800k to over 1 million, something i also heard on cnn. and no, they weren't all militay-"just". logic would tell a person hes obviously going to continue to kill people and make life shit for them. and do you think hes gonna let us walk in there and help that situation? lol, he wouldn't even let us in there for a simple weapons inspection.

so what i'm sick of hearing are these anti-war morons protesting in the name of peace (while destroying everything in their path) while their ideals state we should turn our shoulders and allow a guy like this continue to dictate a country. hes killed off a damn near 1/3 of it's population.
