Amex getting on the Porn train
"James Richford III, new CEO of American Express Corp, has announced a reversal on the credit card's current policy, and now wishes to allow the processing of adult paysites. In lambasting former CEO Clive Wenhart, for putting "ethics before profit", Richford surprised the AmEx board by saying bluntly "We are in business. We are not here to be anyone's conscience, anyone's minister, anyone's moral compass. We are here to make money." He added that Wenhart's previous policy against processing for porn was "anti-capitalist and anti-American Express" and should never have been acted upon in the first place."
