Trump is welcomed to Washington DC with open arms

Trump is building a hotel in Washington DC. He is suing the District of Columbia to reduce his tax liability before the hotel is even open.

If that isn't enough, he is being investigated by the Labor department due to wage violations.

    This is just comical.

The GOP allowed him this platform, they could have (by their rules) ousted him long ago, many times over. The fact they get enough little people that believe he's on their side is truly saddening for them.

I don't understand your fascination with business...

He is going by the current laws, he said that. He wants some change because he knows how shitty things are, from his perspective. Why can't you stop listening to channels like CNN and realize that politics are corrupt from the core. People are murdered over politics every single day and it is all swept under the carpet.

Why are you trying to fight the guy that understands all this, lived it, deals with it every day, and just believe he wants something better? The guy is 70 years old... what agenda does he have to make america very poor and inferior? Serious question and please do not quote a liberal article... I want your opinion.

I can see why he's suing. He obviously isn't as great as he says he is. He doesn't earn as much and his building isn't as great as he says they are.

He's going to cut taxes, reduce healthcare, spend on the military, build a wall that will be ineffective and cost billions to run even if Mexico pays for it, he's going to bomb the ME and create more terrorists. There's even a chance he will go to way with more people than you're at war with now.

The last part is opinion, the rest is what he promises. If you want to go through his promises point by point. I would welcome the debate.

And yes the US President affects the lives of non-US citizens more than you think. The present mess in the ME is all down to Bush and Obama. Taliban, Saddam, Assad, Gadhafi style leaders, are the only type who can rule savages. The US wants them out and kills millions to achieve that aim. Just to make a few people richer.

            Answer: money

Trump sells his own name out to the highest bidder, regardless of product quality or outsourced manufacturing. Trump created a fake university to scam suckers. Trump used the bankruptcy laws to escape paying creditors. All those actions were designed to increase/create wealth.

What makes you think he won't use the POTUS office to sell the American people out in the pursuit of money? He's not relinquishing all his business interest as President.

Yeah its all about Trump. He owes billions to the biggest banks & investment firms that finance his properties. Trump would mean another generation slaved by student loan debt and other, higher interest, debt.

It could be interesting though. If he is elected he will be required by law to disclose all of his financial and real estate holdings so the truth of how much he really has would come out. Most of his business would be controlled by a blind trust, which is meant to help the POTUS avoid conflicts of interest, but in his case he knows what kind of business he has and where he makes his money so even if he is not controlling the day to day operation of it he could still push for laws or support bills that would help him out.

If you spent 1% of your time researching the one you will vote for, instead of spending 100% researching the candidate you hate so much, it would be alot more constructive for you.

He abuses the law every chance he gets.

It's stunning that someone can build a $200k fountain and then write off their taxes as an improvement or whatever. (Not to mention the maintenance costs.) But it's whole other kind of insanity that allows him to sue the city to lower his taxes BEFORE his business opens? On top of that, he is violating the law while it's being worked on. And based on his business record, the contractors won't get paid anyhow.

He isn't running for office because he wants to make the United States a better place. Before running for office, he has never done ANYTHING to support charities or make America better at all. He's made America worse - he has all of his products made overseas, fucks American worker EVERY chance he gets, and has been fucking over the entire country by not paying god only knows how much by not paying his taxes. Nearly every business he is involved in fucks people over.

Have you ever heard of Trump Ocean Resort Baja Mexico? (We used to drive through this area on way down to Mexico YP.) Trump put his name on a project, collected millions, and not a single thing was built. People lost their life savings in this.

Trump leaves a trail of wreckage with everything he does.

besides, you exclaimed yourself, based on your hiring illegal dope fiends, that illegals do a better job roofing than legals.

Taking a second look, this is another signal that Trump is broke.

In 2015 Trump Old Post Office LLC paid $1.7 million in taxes for the property for 2014.

This year they were billed the same $1.7 million, they've paid half, and are suing not to pay the other half. This gives him about a year and a half in mediation and litigation process delays.

No reason other than a juggling act of limited liquid assets to cover expenses.

trump's supposed to bend over and accept the property valuation because the government says that's what it's worth.

Americans have been able to contest and sue over government property assessment for decades.

A leasehold is a personal property asset.

Appeals are made to property tax boards then sometimes a lawsuit in the courts -- we live in a litigious society.

Large industrial plant owners are notorious for this -- they bully paying less taxes for reason that they are providing good paying jobs in the community and supporting others real estate property values.

Plant and equipment (personal property accelerated depreciation or useful live valuation) are always at issue -- this goes to the argument of continued plant viability and lowered taxes so that new equipment can be easier bought -- it's a hidden taxpayer subsidy paid.

The smaller property owners that can't afford an army of 'suits' shoulder the burden.

The taxes on your home are higher because the larger industrial property owners get these tax breaks and abatements -- who did you think pays?

                                                  Great point.

If the property was complete and he brought jobs and business to the community I could understand the justification of requesting to pay less.

Currently he's being investigated for not paying workers the correct wage and the reconstruction is a burden on the community, taxpayers and nearby businesses, and he wants to pay half. Doesn't make sense, especially since he paid in full last year under the same circumstances.

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

Regarding the Republican created bottle neck in the state department:

106 Republican lead lawsuits against the state department aimed at Hillary and her aids with 269,000 total search requests.

If each request results in just 500 document results that's over 14 million documents that need to be indexed for each 106 lawsuits, printed, and mailed. With their limited staff they've been averaging 500 search responses a month.

Disgusting abuse of government resources and huge cost to taxpayers, just like the $7 million , 2 year Benghazi "investigation" that came up with nothing.

The polls are all over the map. There was a big collection of polls from the battle ground states released today that show Clinton beating Trump in all of those states and in some of them she is wining by 10-15%

                                                        https://ballotpedia.org/Ballotpedia%...und_poll,_2016

He has very little money and just got caught breaking the law by trying to get money from foreign sources and Hillary is swimming in cash and about to start spending $30+ million of it on ads in the battleground states.

This is what the Republican party has become. "We are mad because we didn't get our way, so we will investigate you until we find something and then pursue that until cows fly airplanes".

This is Whitewater all over again.

I keep saying the same thing - let's take this all the way. Let's expand the investigation to include every Secretary of State for the past fifteen years. It's all digital so we should have copies, right? Let's see what dirty laundry we can turn up.

Let's start putting Republicans under oath and ask them questions about every email until we catch them in a lie.

We are spending hundreds of millions of dollars and sucking up massive amounts of resources into bullshit. We need some accountability here - if you demand an investigation and it turns out there was no crime committed, you should be forced to resign and spend a year in prison.

He has very little money and just got caught breaking the law by trying to get money from foreign sources and Hillary is swimming in cash and about to start spending $30+ million of it on ads in the battleground states.

That is what I mean by all over the place.

The reality is that Clinton is likely going to win the states that the democrats always win and Trump will win the republican states. It is going to come down to who does better in the battleground states and right now Trump is not looking good there.

It is going to come down to who does better in the battleground states and right now Trump is not looking good there.
