lol, I dont know all the various software platforms you should be looking at but I do know from experience that it will be difficult to find software that everyone on the team picks as their #1 because everyone values different features and functions.

Leaving software decisions to a team vote isn't always the best way to choose the next platform.

As the person in charge, after you've done your analysis and gotten feedback from skilled members of the team, sometimes it's better to tell the rest of the team which software platform the team is going with and remove the "choice / vote"... if your chosen platform is good then most of the team will learn to like it tough cookies to the others

I looked at Pipe Drive and really liked its interface -- was the collaboration of team members your problem -- team members sharing sales leads or functions?

I am considering Open Source Mautic but the interface is sorry ass really -- the functions may be ok

Posting only to point out that your thread's tags include "Curious". Are you trying to tell us something?

Ps. Pipedrive is excellent. I've been following their dev roadmap and customer support quality for a while now and they are extremely committed to building a full-featured yet not-a-pain-in-the-ass-to-administer platform. I'd highly recommend taking another look at it, takes a while to get used to, but to me it's second to none.

Salesforce has evolved into so much more than sales management.

I do all of their voice over work and I've listened to my voices cover so much that their network is capable of. It's quite impressive all you can do with Salesforce.

            Spend you some brain.

You should check out Prosperworks (https://www.prosperworks.com/). Everything lives in Gmail and it's super simple to use. The support is excellent as well.

It would help if you gave at least some pointers, either what are you looking for, or what didn't you like in salesforce etc.

I've worked with SalesForce, Pipeline Deals, SugarCRM and ZOHO CRM.

It really depends on on what capabilities you want to have.

SalesForce is an enterprise level solution that is managed and super powerful at a lot of different things. Maybe too many things.... Pipeline looks nice and collaborates well but I have found it a little too arduous to track some of the basic sales tasks. Zoho CRM had the best value and was simple to setup and use but it cost money ;) Sugar rocks if you want free (which is why it wins for me) or if you want to do custom hooks with your other systems because it's open source.

At the end of the day, it's whatever is going to satisfy your sales management goals as they all can assist in organizing sales people.
