Defences are so on top this is getting boring. It's not as if they're that good. What's bad is the attacking styles and ability. Ronaldo needs to stop posing and start playing.

Others who can't dribble past a grandmother, need to learn to pass the ball. Before they give it away.

And all need to try a long ball upfield to unsettle defences, assuming the forwards are awake to the idea.

Yeah its been a really cagey and defensive tournament thus far. I wonder if its got anything to do with this "4 best 3rd place teams still go through" that's affected things. Knowing you can scrape through in 3rd may be making players more defensive instead of pushing for goals. No star player for any country has really stood out either. Maybe we were spoiled by the last world cup that was full of great games and really good football

While the combined strength of right side may be higher, best 1-2 teams on the left side is not THAT much weaker than whatever would reach the final from the right side. So odds may not be THAT much different.
