In florida, those fuckers are EVERYWHERE. Golf courses, parks, in the middle of the road (there's a stretch of highway called alligator alley).
I used to work at an outdoor juvenile facility and lived on the property where the facility was located. All around the facility was swamp land (okeechobee county) and drainage ponds, so loads of gators. Every now and again when it rained so hard it flooded the grounds, you'd go to go outside and have a gator sitting at the bottom of the steps looking at you.
