UBEE router always has unknown device in the DHCP client list ..
The Mac address is D8:5D:E2:XX:XX:XX which is apparently a HonHai device
Didn't they make chips for some home routers back in the day? I just have my computer and my telephone and yet I always see this mysterious connection in there .. it's a UBEE router from Cox Cable ... I have WPS disabled and changed the password and all of that .. at first I assumed that it was there for voip since I have the cox telephone service, but when I kill that D8:5D:E2 mac ID the telephone still works I don't think anyone is connecting devices to my router but what is that extra client? I'm reading that many routers have this port open by default but I actually have a port forwarding rule in mine .. . .  |

Is that on your WAN (wired) interface? It's probably the MAC address of the other end.

It turned out to be the MAC ID of the modem/router itself. . It's the "RF MAC ID"
