I haven't heard anything about her in 15 years in Canadian media besides her husband dying. Bieber being a worldwide pop star and breaking records has no relevance to anything I said. I answered the OPs question about why we, Canadians, are not proud of him. It's because he is a piece of shit. I used Americans as an example only, how they put pieces of shit on a pedestal. Having a catchy song go number one in Canada is not the same as being a great Canadian artist given respect and a long lasting career here. I suspect a large number of us Canucks here on GFY are middle aged - and grew up with the likes of Rush, Triumph, April Wine, BTO, Prism, Chilliwack...etc. Artists with real talent and staying power that didn't rely on being spoiled punk assholes to stay in the spotlight.
As someone said above, we might be a little more prouder of Bieber if he wasn't such a dickhead much of the time. Just because he sells millions and is on the charts doesn't automatically qualify him for respect - especially from my age demographic.Comment
