iFrames & HTTP referer question

I've searched for advice, but haven't found an answer yet. Any tech geniuses can help?

Let's say Site A displays an iFrame on it's page from Site B and the iFrame contains a link to an external URL I'll call Site C.

If a user is browsing Site A and clicks on a link to Site C (that was shown within the Site B iFrame) will the HTTP referer that Site C sees be from Site A or Site B?

Thanks for your help.

The referrer will show as being site B.

Also, when the user browses site A, site B will see site A as the referrer of the iframed page. And, Googlebot when it spiders site A, will show site A as the referring URL in site B's stats - the only time I ever see Googlebot show a referring URL.
