Help me grow my bricks and mortar business...

I run a business, we are open daily from 10-6 everyday except Monday.
We get really busy during mornings and certain times of the year but things go quiet in the afternoons.

I am wondering what we can offer to people (sell / hire) in the afternoons - 1pm onwards.

Our audience tends to be female 25-45 with children.

Hopefully you can come up with some good suggestions.

    Please don't suggest sex toys.

    Thanks.

What do you sell/hire at the moment?

    I presume its a shop.

If you have space, a coffee machine make bring in extra revenue.

One thing that's popular in the UK are £1 stores.

It depends also who comes into your shop, are they well off or poor?

We don't sell anything, we provide a service.

We do do coffees but had been using a cheap machine off Amazon but it seems to have stopped frothing the milk. We want to get a proper bean to cup machine but can't afford it yet.

Our customers vary from the wealthy (2015 plate range rovers and Jags) to the middle / working class (2005 punto's).

I am not starting stlling £1 tat..

        What type of service?

Is it from a shop (I presume it is)?

Carpet cleaners seem popular to rent, plus you can sell the soap and stuff with them.

why are you keepng your service a secret? It's the key part of information to get any sort of serious suggestions.

You do not need to say exactly (though it may help).

But I would suggest giving a clue.

So if you ran a cafe, you could say you run a food business at least.

Also it may depend on the country you are in, even the town.

For instance if you are in the UK and London, selling crisp sandwiches is a big business, but may not do so well outside London.

One area that is always worth considering is the vegetarian and vegan market. I am vegetarian (trying to be vegan) and its not always easy to get vegan food or clothes. Its a growing market.

Pet products/services are getting popular in the UK.

The chap from the Russian entry on the Eurovision Song contest made cakes. But for dogs. I thought that was a cool thing.

                  exactly this...

an old saying, not to have too many fingers in too many pies & don't always put all your eggs into one basket.

So if you've a shop, depending on what you sell & hire, depends on what else you can provide as a service for people.

You say to provide for women & children, why? after 4 building sites & the building professionals finish, why not provide a service to bring the working industry in

Do you have one of those gypsie fortuneteller shops? Because you've being very vague like you just expect us to read your mind.

Not enough details to offer input on.

Depends on the area and what kind of store, but if you're so busy in the morning try opening before 10!

If you can't afford a decent coffee machine. Buy a small one and start from there. They start at a few hundred bucks.
