    Crazy Neighbor What Do I do?

    For the past year I have a neighbor that pounds on my walls. He lives bellow me. I asked him why is he pounding on my walls, he denies it and says I would never do that. Every time i hear the pounding he's home, when he leaves I never hear it. He does it every fucking day and often he wakes me up while pounding the walls.

    My apartment manager won't do shit and I'm losing my patience, what can I do? I gave him the benefit of the doubt to think it's the pipes. He would have to have the water on all fucking day which I highly doubt because the pounding happens allot. Plus I share the pipes with the whole building and I never hear shit when the guys not home and if it was the pipes I would hear it from other neighbors also. Another dead giveaway the knocking is in sequence like someone is pounding not a pipe knocking noise which is very distinct

    What are my options?

                  Just start pounding on his walls when he's asleep. When he comes asking you about just deny it and say that you lately don't hear any poundings anymore. When he stops pounding you stop pounding ... Idiots are like dogs... they must learn the Pavlov thing... that when you do a. then b. will happen. If you don't do a. then b. doesn't happen.

                          Ever think he is pounding on his ceiling instead of on the walls??? If he is pounding on the ceiling then his denial of pounding on the walls would be technically accurate.

                              That is what I thought the first time I read it too.. But it doesn't sound like OP is that bright with his spelling of "bellow" and "allot"

                                      I've lived in shitty apartments where people are filthy animal pieces of shit. You bet your ass he's doing it. And he's probably a drunk and doing stupid shit because he's a lonely fuck. Tell him once more about your observations. He's home and there's banging. He's gone and it's quiet. See what he says. Just be to the point and tell him it's done from this point on.

                                      If it continues, mail a bag of dicks or glitter to him with obscure messages. Or just super glue the keyhole to his door shut. Make subtle inconveniences for him.

                                      Calling people gets you nowhere. It's time for action.

                                                  Record the sound on your phone or camera then email to the manager or play it for the manager unless you can get them there live.

                                                  I had shitty downstairs neighbors once who insisted on blaring their shitting EDM music all day long so loudly it rattled my windows and vibrated the floors. I asked them a few times to turn it down and they would, only to turn it back up 30 minutes later.

                                                  I called the manager and said he would send them a letter. When that didn't fix it I recorded the sound and emailed to the manager. This time he came over to my place and heard it himself. He told them to keep it down or he would take action. It kind of worked. I had to report them twice more then they got pissy with me and thought I was an asshole. Eventually they just moved out.

                                                  Of course, after they left the apartment was empty for a few months then another couple moved in that played the TV really loud and constantly argued.

                                                  Eventually I got so sick of dealing with the animals in this complex it was me that moved out.

Place the microphone directly against the floor board and record everything. You will probably pick up conversations and other info. Once you have something embarrassing or incriminating just leave a copy of the recording on his door step and leave a note that asks if he wants those recordings to be put on youtube. As far as I know it would be completely legal.

                                                                                                                                                      I can assure you it wasn't me. I went out of my way to be quiet and in other apartments I had lived in never had any issues. This particular complex was run by a manager who didn't care and would rent to anyone who had the first month's rent. I didn't know that when I moved in. When they got rid of that manager they found out about 30% of the residents hadn't paid rent in months and she had done nothing about it.
