Made general onsite SEO and the traffic just started pumping in literally from day 5 on autopilot.

But I definitely see a drop in free signups. I was rocking along averaging 5 sign ups a day this whole month. But the last 3 days + today Ive only had 7 signups total. It appears to be a pattern that every pay period a couple days just suck but you end up making up for it.

Another reason it's always good to diversify

Is it 8 solid hours per day (devoted solely to Chaturbate) 6 days per week ?

Or is it 3 days on, 7 days off, 1 day on, 9 days off etc....

Here are my thoughts based on my experiences:

First of all, you are right mopek1, I haven't been working that much the month of July. My results thus far are based on hours I worked in May and June -- probably 20 hours a week avg so ~200 total work hours thus far.

Second, no matter what you choose to promote online, it takes time to learn the tricks and strategies that will make you successful and give you great ROI on your efforts. Patience is required when promoting online.

Here are my results thus far in 2016:

May - 73 signups - $20.99 token sales - $4.20 earned
June - 111 signups - $20.99 token sales - $4.20 earned
July - 128 signups - $353.81 token sales - $70.76 earned

The key for me is that I am seeing improvement and growth each month with cams. Reliable monthly growth and improvement is not easy to find in this day and age in the adult business. One experienced GFY member who does well with chaturbate mentioned it took him 6 months to earn his first chaturbate check. I did it in 3.

To summarize, I now have:
- a couple regular buyers who are buying consistently.

- 300+ registrations which will probably produce a couple more regular buyers in the future.

- good search engine traffic coming in resulting in averaging over 4 signups a day pretty much on autopilot. Worth $$$.

- I've done the gritty API & database work with chaturbate and have laid the groundwork to launch additional promotional sites a lot faster. That code is worth $$$.

- i have done tons of research on the cam business and other camsites that I didn't know when I began promoting cams on May 1st. Everything I am doing to promote chaturbate I will then extend to other camsites. That knowledge is worth $$$.

The alternative product I can promote are standard paysites on PPS or Revshare. Promoting paysites would require just as much effort to promote but I don't see the future upside of paysites being as great as cams.

In addition, I have seen multiple of my paysite sponsors sales literally dry up overnight. Same amount of search engine traffic just less sales coming through. That has soured me on the paysite model. I see cams as being the better vehicle in which to invest my time.

So I have 128 signups so far in July, my 3rd month promoting... below is someone's stats that got 164 signups in January 2016 & made $3k for the month after 3 years of promoting...

I'm guilty of investing too much time into things as well. But like poster above said, it takes time for things to take off.

The second you KNOW it's not going to work, move on. So far, all those free reg seem promising to me at least so keep doing what you're doing.

Phew! finally hooked up the Chaturbate API to my site!

I created the script that takes the API and puts it in a database. Still need to set it to run every 5 minutes or so that its always listing the online performers.

Im gonna need a designer at some point to make the site look professional so if you're a designer let me know if you'd like to create a simple design in exchange for attribution on the site and on GFY.

Well it is easy, in theory at least

3- a cron job scheduled every minute that runs the above script
4- truncate the table every time to make sure the data is fresh

I was wondering about user workflow and user retention.

There is a Chaturbate watermark on streams so I thought this could cause members to move to the brand (chaturbate.com) over time. In this case I presume the customer is lost, right?

For this reason, in twitter, isn't it better to tweet affiliate links or link to your custom site/api instead of pushing to your whitelabel?

The only advantage I see in using a WL is there is no cookie competition.

In which case do you use your WL, your affiliate link and do you keep your custom site only for SEO or do you push to it via social media?

Their chaturbate username is tied to your account once you've referred them so whenever that username buys tokens, you make money.

The grey area is who gets credit for the signup when they've visited multiple whitelabels and the main chaturbate site with different refcodes over a certain time period.

Are we sure about this? So if a user is referred by another affiliate and use the main site or another whitelabel and then decide to buy tokens on your whitelabel, you are not making a sale?

I am doing a bit of testing now:

1- I bought tokens on my whitelabel
2- I see commissions
3- I then bought tokens on the main site
4- I do not see any commission
5- I buy again from whitelabel
6- I see commissions

In summary:
- actions taken: 1 free registration 3 purchases
- actions registered in my stats: 1 free registration 2 purchases

So, in my example, it looks like the sales on the main site showed up after all (it took some time): users are bound to affiliate, not by domain.

To be sure, I would like to test the scenario where you register under an affiliate (AF1) on the main site, then go to someone else (AF2) WL to see who gets the sale. According to our belief, AF1 is the winner. Someone wanna try this?

You can use 1 cron that runs multiple threads (1 per sponsor) or 1 cron per sponsor
The idea is each thread imports into a MySQL table for example, and then you have a SQL view that display aggregated data from across these tables.
Synchronization doesn't matter much, you just display when the data is there.

My cron is scheduled to run every minute for Chaturbate. It is not real time but I don't mind because if the broadcaster is not online I show someone else. I am not sure you can make a cron more granular than 1 mn and it wouldn't be acceptable for the sponsors because of the unnecessary strain on their servers (ie: if everyone was to pull data every second for example)

Guys, I am still wondering about a few things, can someone, preferably from Chaturbate or a Chaturbate guru, clarify this once and for all for me please?

Q1- Considering URL1 above, is it fair to say that the affiliate using the campaign ID "YOUR_CAMPAIGN" is planting his cookie and win customers going to MYWL even though MYWL is my whitelabel?
I am asking this because I have read that whitelabels are domain based but I have a suspicion that this is not the case. I have seen a performer advertising my whitelabel with her campaign ID, which is cool by me, but I want to know how things actually work.

Q2- Since URL1 is a subdomain of chaturbate.com, is the cookie also valid if the customer goes to Chaturbate - Free Adult Webcams, Live Sex, Free Sex Chat, Exhibitionist & Pornstar Free Cams
Since cookies are domain based this would be possible but if you use another form of your whitelabel such as www.mywl.com then the cookie is not working for the main brand, this is a fundamental difference with using the subdomain form.

Q3- This has been discussed before but if a Chaturbate representative could confirm that would be great: if a customer is bound to you through www.mywl.com, if he uses the same username on the main brand, the commissions are still going to me.
The reason I am asking is because I want to advertise both my whitelabel and the main brand, I don't want to compete against myself sending my whitelabel "earned" customers to the main brand if I have a risk of losing them.

I pretty much coasted July and August... wasn't planning to be so lax but the weather was just too nice!

But I am back to working on my chaturbate promotions daily... I have some regular chaturbate buyers now and made $96.57 in token sales commissions in August with an average 3 free signups / day.

I've launched a couple niche domains, more twitter accounts and a chaturbate blog... going to tighten up the cross-site linking and start posting regularly to the chaturbate blog.

I will use the blog as a sort of overall linking and SEO tool to give me further ideas on niche domains/categories to hit.

I assume you are on the revshare so you will need patience, plus as chaturbate is getting more popular, so it is a bit harder to make money for new affiliates there. Like I said more patience, have luck.

I am on revshare. I do have the patience of a saint, I must have, to have been with my ex wife for so long! Ha Ha! I'll be here all week...

When I see some stats in this thread something doesn't add up. How can a guy have 6000 hits in a day and only a few sign ups? It's as if the surfer didn't find what they were expecting when they clicked the link. You know, "click the link for a free car" and a web cam babe appears.

The most clicks I've had in a day is 406. I can't imagine my reaction if I saw 6000 hits in a day!

User "PornHero" is looking to get 25 sign ups per day. I'd like to know how to get that much traffic, buts that's a question for a different thread.
