Actually Russia is a VERY militarized country. Was it a secret for you? No so militarized like in the Soviet times but still, it's very militarized. Almost on the same level like Israel. The only difference is that Russian women don't serve in army (all Israeli women serve in army just like men).
On the other and, I don't see an analogy with Nazy Germany at all, and I don't think that learning weapon is a bad thing. Personally I was learned to use guns since 9 year old. When you are trained to use weapon since your childhood, the gun-related incidents will decrease a lot. Just look at Russian statistics and compare it to say with American one (only right here on GFY you can read about a stupid woman shot dead by here own 4 year old son and about a guy shot... by his cat). Some people are just can't have a right to buy a gun. So a weapon education is a very important thing. IMHO.Obey the CowgodComment
