Ted Cruz 100% will NEVER be President, Here is why...

If Trump doesn't become the GOP nominee, he will leave the GOP and run as an Independent, (he still won't declare that he won't leave) which will divide Republican vote in half at the time of the main election between Hilary and Cruz.

With (Independent) Trump taking his votes with him (most Trump supporters are very loyal), that will easily throw the election to Hillary, because Trump nor Cruz can win the general election if Trump goes Independent, splitting the GOP voters in half. That's a fact.

Trump and the RNC know this. It's Trump's secret sauce to strong arm the RNC for support and to help lock up the delegates in a brokered convention.

Trump will NEVER endorse Cruz and would rather go Independent and throw the election than let Cruz win. Trump's loyalty is to himself first, not the GOP.

The GOP must decide soon, if they want to win, they all MUST get behind Trump, otherwise, Trump will take his dolls and go home, leaving Hillary with the doll house.

There was a poll released today that showed Hillary VS all three remaining republican candidates in a general election. This poll showed her soundly defeating Cruz or Trump, but losing to Kasich. So Cruz might not be able to win even if Trump doesn't run as an independent.

Trump won't run as an Independent. He's had his ego run and to his surprise, shock and dismay he's now facing the awful prospect of being revealed as a fool and fraud.

IMO he's trying to lose now.

This is how dumb Republicans are....

Despite those poll numbers, they won't even consider inserting Kasich...because we all know they're going to insert whoever they want as the nominee no matter who gets what delegates. Strangely, Kasich is not even an option.

                  Are you kidding?
Trump will run as an Indy if he doesn't get the nom. He's ready to sue the RNC over Colorado, so imagine what he'll do if he is not the nom?

Trump will not take defeat and will always move forward until it's all over. He will run as an Indy because he'll have no choice IF he doesn't get the nom.

What do you think, he'll get 1100 delegates, and lose the nom and then go home? Not a chance. It ain't over till it's really over. Type "A" personalities go all the way no matter what.

The don't really "insert" anybody they want. 5% delegates re vote, and if no winner, another 5% are added to revote again... on and on until there is a winner.

Trump could slowly get nudged out, then he'll pull out and run as an Indy. But they all know if Trump leaves, the Rep's will lose the whitehouse. Rock and hard place for reps.

Sanders is the same too I believe.

Of course, we do need to keep in mind the election isn't until November and a lot can happen before then.

Berny might easily have a stroke by then. I don't see how he can keep the physical momentum of campaigning the way he does. I like Berny, but he scares me every time he gives a speech. I always think it's his last.

Really interesting. I think Trump's ego would definitely steer him towards running as an independent.

I'm wondering though why he just doesn't switch to a Tea Party candidate instead. Is the Tea Party dead now?

I wonder if he will ask Sarah Palin to be his running mate?

No matter who wins, everyone loses..
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

I believe the polls are similar with Sanders as well. Like you say, the election is a long ways away with major things to come between now and then. If a republican doesn't win enough delegates to outright win the nomination they could have a shit show of a convention that could hurt them badly. Of course, they could also rally around whichever candidate has the most delegates as a united party as well. Still, 7 months when it comes to an election is a lifetime. 7 months ago many people thought Jeb Bush was the surefire nominee.

Kasich wants to end social security, that won't go over well with all those older Republican voters.
