A coalition of more than 100 media organizations on Sunday published what it said was an extensive probe into the offshore financial deals of the rich and famous from documents from a Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca, fed from an anonymous source.

Panama Papers. How the rich avoid taxes.
If you want to see change, vote for Governments that stop this. It needs the US and EU to come together to ban companies and people hiding money in tax havens.Tags: None -
I cant blame hard working people for hiding money from governments that want to redistribute their wealth to worthless dindus -
So how about private police, ambulance, fire, and every other form of Government? with you paying for it as you use it, of course if you haven't paid and something goes wrong. You're fucked.
Most of these tax dodgers are the people who are responsible for making so many unemployed. Leaving the rest or the country to pick up the tabs. I'm waiting to see Trump's or Clinton's names on the list.Comment

I would blame technology more

100 % employed is possible only in communist countries...with low quality
how about Switzerland ? they are not so highly taxes and unemployment over there is around 5 %

I pay enough taxes paying for products. VAT, etc.
If they want more, they should stop handing out my money to dindus who destroy civilized society.Comment
-
They also don't have a massive military that is spread all over the world playing world police like we do. Switzerland has a GDP of around $685 billion. The US spends that much alone on the military.Comment

Very simplistic understanding you have about this.
People and Entities that generate significant cash represent less than 1%. The 1% own more than half the assets in the world and pay much more than half the total tax generated globally. However it is not just tax revenue that matters, it is the velocity of money they create through the money they generate for the banking system which in turn (through fractional reserve banking) means expanding credit, supporting the economy and growing GDP globally.
They are *very* sophisticated and there is NO WAY you can stop them doing whatever they choose to do. They also control the entire functioning of the world, so attacking them is a bit like attacking the Golden Goose. You fuck with them and no more eggs.
It's a FACT. Now if you were a serious business person (which you have proven you are not) and had a decent understanding of economics, you wouldn't have come up with a statement like that in the first place."In a Time of Universal Deceit, Telling the Truth is a Revolutionary Act." - George OrwellComment

I agree with you that we should stop dead all migration except for high skilled and rich. Reduce benefits for the third or more children. It won't eliminate the unemployed or low paid, it will stop the increase.
However who or what created the Dindus you harp on about? Like fat people, there were very few of them around in the 50s, 60, and 70s. Look to the people who have massively benefitted by increasing their numbers for the real culprits, they brainwashed you to blame the symptons not the cause.Comment

That's right but the point is that whatever is left, you should try to encourage to stay not the opposite.
Look at what happened with HSBC over tax issues. They threatened to leave the UK for Hong Kong over the last two years - finally, when push came to shove and they were ready to go, the government caved in with some big concessions. Surprise surprise, HSBC has now decided to keep its UK domicile.
If you attack the entity, they just jump off the ship, its easy enough to do. So, inspite of all this media storm and posturing, don't be under any illusion about who's in charge."In a Time of Universal Deceit, Telling the Truth is a Revolutionary Act." - George OrwellComment

In the US it has been about 3% since the 80's. I have not looked further back then that. Banking is a special case. The rest have to be forced to stay or face huge import taxes. Look at the farce of the EU. It was supposed to build a trading zone among EU countries. In practice, it gave trade deals to Third World Countries so they could import with no restrictions. Chinese Steel!!!That's right but the point is that whatever is left, you should try to encourage to stay not the opposite.

I watched the Panorama program about the documents that have been uncovered. It was largely centered on the UK, it did expose a Russian musician and friend of Putin who is fronting a company handling 100s of millions of Dollars.
It also exposed a person who was being paid by UK taxpayers to build a hospital and pocketing millions of Pounds, criminals hiding the proceeds of crime, businessmen hiding profits and hiding the money in Panama.
After the wars in Afganistan and Iraq who got the contracts to rebuild what was bombed and where is the money?
Trickle down only works when the money stays in the country and taxes are paid on it. As for providing jobs, if the rich did that in the countries they rely on for sales. There would be a lot less Dindus.Comment

Right, do you have something against personal responsibility? Being that you're so concerned about the welfare of other people, you and others alike should have no problem voluntarily pooling together resources for the few that are negatively affected in such scenarios.
Actually, most of these tax dodgers are responsible for employing so many.. You can blame the government for unemployment with minimum wage, regulations, etc..
Don't hate on them. Hate on the system that extorts you on a daily basis. They're the reason there're tabs in the first place.Comment

Right, so put up with everything and anything "they" (the 1%) feel like doing, regardless of consequence. You know, because the 1% are the KINGS of the World and we just live in it, right? Let them do ANYTHING because......why again? Oh right, my quality of life may change. That's right but the point is that whatever is left, you should try to encourage to stay not the opposite.

Fucking really dude? Why not promote Trickle Down Economics? You know, where the rich keep all the coins and whatever falls out of their pockets and "trickles down" to the peons beneath them we should be happy with. Right?

Absolutely not. How is someone responsible for their bosses not paying taxes, moving their job overseas, paying minimum wage?Right, do you have something against personal responsibility? Being that you're so concerned about the welfare of other people, you and others alike should have no problem voluntarily pooling together resources for the few that are negatively affected in such scenarios.
Employing people in the Far East. Yes we can blame the Government for signing trade deals that made the West a bad place to manufacture but a great place to sell.Actually, most of these tax dodgers are responsible for employing so many.. You can blame the government for unemployment with minimum wage, regulations, etc..

Around here we heap a good percentage of blame on unions. They forced the wages to become so outrageously jacked the companies said 'fuck it...we can no longer compete' - and closed/moved shop.Comment

That's actually at the crux of the issue. Who gets the money, the owners or the workers? (The Owners always get more anyway, just how MUCH is the point.) And, in the end, the Government (theoretically "the People") is the only entity that can keep the balance. If the answer is "the owners" then we have what we have now. If the answer is "the workers" then we have Communism.
It's the dynamic tension between the two extremes that is the only answer. Yet that takes diligence, fortitude and keeping corruption at a minimum. Good luck there. LOLMy Affiliate Programs:

I never claimed anyone was responsible for any of that. You were making the claim that we need taxation because police, ambulance, fire and if it were privatized, some people wouldn't receive said services. And I said you're right, and what's wrong with that? If you care about people who didn't pay in advanced, help them out voluntarily.
People would wise up real quick once they realized they weren't getting said services for free (tax payer subsidies).
Of course it's the government's fault. These US businesses don't have some sort of weird hate for the US. Generally speaking, successful business men are smart, and will do business where they can make the most profit. This doesn't make them bad people.
Yes. I've got 99 problems but capitalism isn't one of them. The other 99 problems can be attributed to the state.Comment

Thats rubbish. Much better to say "is the only answer that we know in the western world." It doesn't work that way at all in the Middle East or anywhere in Asia and the system works just fine."In a Time of Universal Deceit, Telling the Truth is a Revolutionary Act." - George OrwellComment

This only applied when there was no Third World exporting goods.
I will agree that Unions are very anti-modernisation. At the moment, they want to keep the old Steel plants open by spending taxpayers money. The car industry had to be closed down, so a new one could be built to replace it.Comment

It's about balance. The Owners have to earn more than the workers. The workers need to be in the country of sales and earning enough to drive an economy with a huge retail sector. That's actually at the crux of the issue. Who gets the money, the owners or the workers? (The Owners always get more anyway, just how MUCH is the point.) Communism is everyone on a closer level and sharing the wealth. so the toilet porter earns nearly as much as the top people. Making the top job so unattractive few bother.Comment

Yes the Government should make sure companies who want to sell in the West, produce in the West of buy goods from the West in the same amount. Balanced trade. Works best for the people in the West, except the top businessmen. Who then send the profit to tax havens.Of course it's the government's fault.
