Donald Trump, dazed and confused or out of his depth?

I read the transcript of that Washington Post interview when it came out. There was no surprise to me that he displayed a keen, razor sharp knowledge of nothing. He did show a major skill of talking people in circles until they move on to an easier topic -- which he then shows he also knows nothing about.
His supporters are in love with him because "he says what's on his mind".
They don't care that his mind is shit, as long as he speaks it.

Reading transcripts is the opposite of low-information. You should probably know that.
Your comment is the equivalent of a dog reactively barking at a bike as it rides by. In case you don't understand analogies, that means you are very dumb.

i heard the first 2 answers in that youtube video. I was expected some horrible stuff the way the guy introduced it, but it were just some standard answers. The first one wasnt weird or strange at all.
But hey lets nit pick everything to death. Do it with war monger Hillary or Sanders or Cruz and you can make the same stupid youtube video. What a bunch of bullshit.

All his supporters can do is flap around. It's clear he can't answer any of the questions and those guys were being nice to him. When the take the piss out of him, it flies over his head.I read the transcript of that Washington Post interview when it came out. Asking the question if he is dazed or confused is what's scary.
Morphed serfs will Never know how to live without a King rule ...and are doomed to be slaves.
George Washington did the same thing to King George and you enslaved Redcoats have never been able to handle the beat down.
We don't need you. And we sure as hell don't need King George.
So Go Fuck Yourselves.

Oh hell yeah.
He's a caring individual who hasn't figured out the best way to care about your fellow man is to have liberty and freedom.
But he thinks people will hurt him if they are free.
And like all the backwards thinking Redcoats they Do Not understand the Only people that are out to hurt them are the Authoritarians they promote

To answer the original question....very, very out of his depth. And he'll get even more underwater as we get closer to election time, when he needs to show us what he knows...as opposed to bragging about poll numbers, or spewing 3rd grade level insults. Let's see how politically astute he is when the only ammo he can use is actual facts and knowledge of domestic and world affairs.
He's gotten by so far on charm (if you want to call it that) and cult of personality and an appeal to morons who will latch onto anything that "appears" strong because that all the nuance their monkey brains can process.

I saw about 10 minutes of his interview that was on CNN today and I had to laugh. He was asked about immigration and gave his standard answer about being tough on illegals and building a wall. The person then asked a second question asking Trump if he would crack down on companies that knowingly hire illegals and instead of answering the question Trump talked about how he will stop companies from leaving the US. It was almost as if he either didn't understand the question or simply didn't want to answer it so he just moved on.Comment

It doesn't matter really. The GOP has thrown in the towel on this one. They can't win the general with or without Drumpf and he can't win with or without them. They will focus on keeping what they have in congress in light of Trump and the Supreme court debacle that will just get worse.
The report that they put out in 2012 says it all. They needed to bring in women and minorities to the party and ease up on social issues that have wide national support. They essentially did the opposite and pandered to the low brow instead of moving left and competing.
There is no silent majority for Trump, that is becoming more and more evident. He has the same people he always has and can't lose no matter what he says. Even the GFY banter is just boring. The guy is a joke and supporting him should be embarrassing.

I think they were on their way to trying to bring in minorities (especially Hispanics) then Trump kicked that in the teeth. Prior to Trump entering the race I don't recall them talking much about immigration. They knew they had to walk a fine line. If they are too liberal with their stance they risk losing the support of the base. If they are hard on immigration they will make the base happy, but lose Hispanic voters. So they opted for just not talking about it. Trump put an end to that they day he announced and forced the topic on them and they have all had to take a hard line approach in order to match Trump. It doesn't matter really. Personally, I still think Trump will win the nomination and then get his ass kicked by Hillary. I think Trump announced on a whim and never thought he was going to get this far. I think he expected to be in it for a few months and have some fun then drop out. Now he is behind the curve and having to catch up on all the issues. During the primaries he can get away with sound bites and his fun one liners, but if he wins the nomination and has to face Hillary (or even Bernie if he pulls off a miracle) he will likely get his ass kicked in a one on one debate.Comment

Trump has zero experience at running anything in Government. He's looking for soundbites and "I will build a Wall". How will he stop companies, like his, moving jobs out of the US?
His replies assume everyone will go along with him and he know best.
So long as he can change his mind on things.Comment

I don't mind when leaders change their minds. That, to me, is actually the sign of a good leader when they can objectively look at things and decide they should adjust their beliefs on a certain subject. The problem with Trump is that he seems to come up with his positions on many of these things on the fly then when it doesn't sound good he quickly changes his mind to try to make it better. Eventually I think he ends up somewhere in the ballpark of what he actually believes, but in the process we get several different stories.Trump has zero experience at running anything in Government. I like some of what Trump says. Taxes on countries that flood the US or EU with cheap goods, effective measures to reduce migration to the level a country needs.
Stop interfering in the ME. Adapt NATO, he's wrong about it being obsolete while NATO soldiers are asked to die in American Wars or crippled by them.
The problem is all the other politicians who will block him over and over again. He's not smart enough to get around them without giving away more than his voters want or raising the costs of living. How many Chinese goods are used to build and furnish a Trump Hotel?
Will Americans vote for the people who will fix it for the bottom 60%? I doubt it.Comment

His entire campaign is built on "here is X group of disaffected, angry, scared voters. What can I say to get their vote?"I don't mind when leaders change their minds. Everything that comes out of his mouth (when it's not babbling stream of consciousness) is tailored to that goal.
