logo designers on fiverr are so bad

I know that you pay what you get for, but I hired a bunch of designers to give me some inspiration, and I was curious

Let's just say that they are all RUBBISH

some of them are hilarious.. most of them dont even follow what you ask them to do, some look like they are done in paint

one guy said.. sir what font logo do you want?

I said.. you pick, your the designer

then he said.. whats your favourite colour ( I already told him to check the website for colour scheme ) anyway, he ended up finishing it, and had the cheek to ask me " sir i want maximum $10 for this logo " hahaha

You're right.... you get what you pay for. People who are serious about what they want, and serious about design will stay out of that cesspool.

Another one upwork AKA odesk you can find some good one but you have to be patience and never accept the first 2 designs they send you . : )

In my book he have a good rates for budget wise and the quality have always been there in my opinion . And more important Custumer service top notch

i bought a logo on fiverr and im a designer so when i got the logo i was pissed i talked to the admin of the site and got my money back and the guys account closed he took a picture of a hat online and put lettering next to it on MS Paint i found the original logo on google screen shot and screen shot it was the worst job i've ever seen , glad i got his account closed tho

i told fiver im going to make several fake accounts and make these "Premium Logos" for others just like he did me

Oh man i have been through some funny stuff during my last year with those designer lol ... i can tell you that. Also going cheap not always the best way to get Your expected result but if your on budget just looking around and ask around would be your best bet.

I bought a load. I have 25 gay blogs and a simple text logo to make them unique is what I was after. Hopefully giving me some inspiration too. I've had good results off one guy in past and wasn't expecting much. This guy took the biscuit though

We use Fiverr ALOT. Yes most of them are crap, but there is always a gem in there and you just need to find them. Here is what we do:

Select 5 designers at one time and hire them at the basic 5 USD rate. We send them as much information as possible: preferred colors, shapes, samples of other logos we might like, description of who the audience is, etc. We also advise them that we are hiring several of them for the single purpose of showing us their absolutely best concept, and that if we like what we see, we will pay 50 USD for a complete package: unlimited revisions, original source file, and all the file formats.

What do we get back. 3 out of 5 is pure crap, and that is okay. Its the 2 out of 5 we are looking for. Sometimes one designer hits it on the nail near perfect, and often it leads to one design that is not quite right, but it provides inspiration. Using that one concept, we ask for a revision from the designer who offered it, but we also go out hire 3 to 5 more designers to improve that one concept.

In the end a single logo will cost us about 75 to 100 USD but we had several creative minds contribute to the process.

It's all relative to what you want.
I have bought 3 logos from fiverr, two have been ok and I used them and one was rubbish and I fucked off the project because of it.
When I needed a GOOD logo done my professionals with multiple revisions I paid £180 for it. I am pretty happy with it.

Fiverr can be good if used correctly. In most cases the 5$ is just the introductory work... getting your gig accepted, etc. If you want a designer on fiverr to actually do something, you'll probably have to pay at least 10-20$ more.

We wish this was true ... the reviews have zero value unless you also see the artwork the buyer approved. Each message I get has the seller begging for 5 Stars. I once rated a designer that provided good work at 4 Stars, and she went nuts, begging me repeatedly to change the review to 5 Stars because she was losing work.

13679 Reviews at 5 Stars -> these folks were the absolute worst from all our experience with Fiverr.

I personally submitted our mockup (mosaic map of Mexico) done in "Paint" with instructions to repeat what we did but with pro tools. They returned a week later with something completely different. No map, no mosaic pattern, not even the same colors. There was no misunderstand. They simply didn't follow the instructions. 4 requests for revision where made, each time asking for the same thing.
