Because I've taken hallucinogens in the past. LSD (paper and liquid), Microdots, Shrooms, and Mescaline. I haven't taken any in almost 20 years, but I've done my share. Had two bad trips, and both were from blotter LSD. Microdots were my favorite, second were Shrooms.

When I was growing up, people always claimed microdots were mescaline but actually microdots are simply lsd laced compressed sugar pills. There is no way to put the necessary dosage of mesc into that small a pill.

LSD-25 is the real deal. There are similar compounds but with variances in the molecule that render sometimes bad side effects - prompting the "laced with rat poison" urban legend ; although those might be called "lsd" or "acid" or whatever, they are not truly LSD at all. An example is AMT, alpha-methyltryptamine. Real LSD-25 is what Owsley was famous for making and Hoffman discovered and is remarkably free of any sort of toxicity. Glad to see the resurgence in scholarship on psilocybin and LSD.

Trips are different for everyone and depend on the mood one's in. Smoking opium is awesome. Real dreamworld.

That actually looks more like the DMT version of reality imo. LSD can be visual, shrooms more so when it comes to outright hallucinations, but DMT is literally the portal to another universe where time and matter and everything else exists in a completely different state than what we call "reality".

The last time I did acid was in the summer of 1974... I'd tripped about 15 times, and it was just too much for me... I was done. I had friends though who tripped hundreds of times, and my best friend could even drive tripping. My head is spinning just thinking of this.

So it looks worse. You would have to pay me a lot to experience that shit.

Someone Who Is Not Me, finds LDS, mescaline, shrooms the only cool drugs (DMT being a little too much as can't interact with world and guys like talking or writing notes, drawing, interacting). He would be fine if the toxic and not trascendental ones like cocaine, opioids, tobacco and alcohol never existed. However he understands tripping is not for everyone, unlike cocaine and alcohol both of which, are for everyone since keeping you you are where you are with who you are, without show other dimensions or life changing questions or answers.

Like some other wrote, be warned real lsd is rarely what you find in blotters, they put there bad stuff with names like 25i-nbome, dom, dop all of which is toxic and giving no real superpowers.

Regardinig what you see in trips, someone who is not me thinks that the example video (that is made with google deepdream) is better than most "trip simulation" videos, still whoever didn't tried lsd, psylocibin and such, could not undetrstand that it is not simply a video or audio changed, but also space-time and whole braiin operating system changing way it works, so no any audio+video can ever give the idea as you don't know each rock or furniture is really alive and doing his stuff, and all the universe is connected, and most importantly, past and future are a subset of really what's going on which is, stuff from the future comes to you as well as stuff from the past in a unexplicable way.

Anyway if you really want an opinion for strictly the visual from someone who is not me, the lsd thing is more waving, even at lower dosage (50 micrograms), before to changing shapes or colors, like these (even if not exactly):




Also, if you close the eyes or there is very low light, you'll see stars and dots flying fast around, caleidoscopes but not so super clearly or stable, and hardly if you have eyes open over very lit environment, there it all looks super funny or strange but you can not even say why, it is a very different different poiint of view of seeiing something that really changed not so much visually but you know it is not as it seems.

It is important to note that waviing is not all the same for all image like if you apply a filter on the image, but multidimensional per pattern, so each pattern of each stuff waves itself as it wishes, this is why simulations all suck. At 150 micrograms and more you get more totally made up images too, but mostly is you thinking you seen something but really you did not seen it so for sure and definitely. Anyway those videos @lsd trip@ branded where there are completely scifi fantasy worlds going on with unicorns and supermonsters are NOT going to happen (except perhaps DMT which is however not for interacting with the real world which is a limitation) and if these happen it will be all super waving and unstable at the same time and you ll think super strange stuff - so not like when you re sober and watch those scifi fantasy movies. Posts like this might make people believe that LSD/Mushrooms/DMT and all the hallucinogens are recreational drugs, which is Absolutely Untrue.
