Before bombs start to fall, take yourself and your family out of the adobe mud hut you occupy, and get out of harms way! If that means shacking up with reporters in whatever building they're in, DO IT!!

EDIT: I realize running out into the desert might not be the most educated thing to do, but at the very least... take your ass as far away as you can from anything that might be a possible target!

I can bet Saddam forced his own people to be holed up so that they would be targeted. Makes us look bad.

I don't think he's very capable of forcing the people to do anything at this point. But one thing we know he did was build key military and political installations that he knew would be made a target in and around the regular civilian populace.

Thereby forcing any attackers to engage close to innocent people. Saddam is no dummy man. He knows ANY injuries sustained by US bombs to civilians will make him look "good", and make us look bad.

By placing the CIA office in the basement of a civilian building (worl trade centre), the American government also placed the civilian population in the direct line of fire.

Well, it certainly wasn't CIA headquarters, and there is question as to whether the office even existed.

It was supposed to be a "secret" office that NO ONE knew about. Yeah right.
