CNN ratings getting so bad, now their telling Zakaria to curse

I didn't realize how bad news today was until i upgraded my iphone and opened the "news" app and added a ton of random, general news feeds (cnn, msnbc, fox, bloomberg, Time etc etc etc etc)..... This was at the early part of the Presidential campaigns where they were campaigning for nominations. Quite literally, every single news feed, trending story etc was "trump bad" - like 90% of them were. All this while Hillary was evading the DOJ, destroying evidence under subpoena, lying continually about emails, destroying emails, destroying devices and so on... but it was still like 9 "trump is bad" headlines to 1 "hillary isn't so bad" headlines.

I never truly realized how fucked up the media is here. Media is biased everywhere of course and thats true across the globe. However, reporters used to serve the truth and used to be about presenting the facts. More than anything else, they ALL (except FoxNews) continually pushed a fake narrative that Hillary was winning,... everywhere, in everything. I mean this woman's trust ratings were lower than Jeffrey Dahmers on an Asian gay porn set in a 3rd world country and each news outlet kept saying "she's got this - no question about it"

News used to be news. It used to be reporting the facts. Facts today are no longer relevant if they can't be tied into a click bait headline. Reporters used to be more detective than writer. NOW, they are all a bunch of second rate jackoffs writing click bait titles and trying to fabricate and cobble a story together (true or not) to match the catchy headline.

The truly sad thing is that one of the most important facets of a free democracy is open reporting.... but now, we are regressing into something worse than Russia where media is about political agendas and the first casualty of pushing that agenda is always the truth.

CNN ratings are bad because the people who tend to watch CNN are disgusted with the news. After Trump won I couldn't watch the news. I would cringe every time I heard them say his name. For the next month or so I avoided the news as much as I could.

At the same time I do not like this "constant debate" format. I want to hear the news, not have people debate the news constantly with "panels".

An interesting thing is that in my car, on satellite, there is nothing but Fox. If you try to listen to MSNBC, CNN or BBC, its all either MSNBC's "Lockdown" or whatever its called or its human interests stories that aren't formatted for radio. Meaning you hear "we arrived at the village and took a long look around..." and you have 60 seconds of dead air, thinking the radio is no longer working because all you hear is silence as the camera pans around to show something you can't see. Then there is HLN which is 90% nancy grace talking about little blond kidnapped girls in the most grating voice possible. NPR is always talking about some tribe in the Congo who weave really cool baskets our of frog skins but can't get access to European markets to lift themselves out of poverty or something retarded.

Fox is actually the only channel that is in a talk show format in all its shows or its actual news reporting and the only one you can listen to in the car. I wish liberal and other media outlets were less retarded in their efforts and could provide another view point in this area.

I saw Rachel Maddow on Bill Maher's show a couple of years ago. And they had some Republican congressman on as one of the panel.
He was talking about something and casually said that many journalists had shows that were biased towards the left...like Rachel's show.

Fareed Zakaria is probably one of the smartest people on TV. He's won Peabody awards, nominated for a ton of Emmy's. He has honorary degrees from Harvard and other Universities.

Put aside any prejudice you may have and watch his show a few times. It's rather dry but its really educational. I think you may change your opinion of him.

I bet what really happened is that the United States routinely listens in on every conversation anyone the Russian government has in the United States. This includes emails, and perhaps more importantly, what the Russian government is discussing behind closed doors. Pretty much every conversation anyone in the Trump campaign or administration had with the Russians was listened in on. Not because we put wire taps on Trump, but because we have wire taps on the Russians.

What is even more revealing is the conversations the Russians are having amongst themselves. If someone in Russian intelligence calls someone in the Russian government and details what people in the Trump campaign have said them, well.....
