seriously the euros (and Canadians) will whine about anything... even to the fucking point of 'you didn't measure that correctly'... how fucking petty can you possibly be?
it just seemed odd to me the euros didn't get there whinny hands on the 'clock' ... 100 seconds, 100 minutes, 100 hours but with really cool names like ... well, how in the fuck would I know lol!!
anyway, the reason is....... tada! the Babylonians, that's right, when those crazy bastards weren't building towers, gardens, and baggin' jews, they were fucking around with numbers... AND they used base 60.. 5 fingers on one hand and 3 knuckle joints times 4 on the other hand... their celestial calculation was all base 60, not 10 like us. so the heavens were rotating along 360 degrees arc, broken into 60 min, 60 seconds... etc..
