US patriot downs a RAF plane

LONDON, England (CNN) -- A British Royal Air Force aircraft returning from a mission in Iraq was possibly shot down by Patriot missiles, British and U.S. military officials said Sunday.

"We have evidence to suspect that an RAF aircraft which was recovering from an operational mission may have been engaged by a US operated Patriot battery near the Kuwaiti border," a British defense ministry statement said.

"The crew of the aircraft is missing."

"It looks like" a Patriot missile may have shot down an RAF plane, a senior Pentagon official told CNN.

Whats the difference between a British guy flying through the air real fast in an large metal tube, and a missile... which is a large metal tube that flies through the air.

Besides halitosis.
