why is this cunt allowed to hijack traffic with a big affiliate signup button right in the middle of the fucking screen? way to piss off webmasters sending traffic.
A load of them are doing it - Some even more blatant than that - The models don't seem to realize that affiliates are just as important to the success of Chaturbate as they are...
This is your image BTW -
They are not recommended by me any more - I send potential affiliates elsewhere if they ask.....
I love the DCMA protected BS as well - She can steal from us, but we can't use her pics to make HER money - lol...
I just checked and it is true - The affiliate link is NOT overridden! - I take back what I said before - I should have checked first, sorry Punker...
However, Chaturbate are losing out - If a surfer isn't a referral then the host will get the commission - I can only assume that is a loss that Chaturbate is willing to make to keep the talent happy.....

Fuck that old cumbucket.
ou couldn't sell that wildebeest's video even if you did waste your time stealing it...who would want to watch such a boring sad and pathetic creature finger her diseased well used cunt anyway!
If I had a couple more Chaturbate registrations, that spent money, I could get back to visiting the webmaster tradeshows in Ireland, Spain, London, Amsterdam, Prague.
All this cookie is not over written is only one side of the story!
What about the poor affiliate who actually does refer a customer after he/she has clicked the above model link but choose not to sign up, but only after visiting a legitimate affiliates site changed his mind, signing up by clicking the real affiliates link, but the model gets all the credit as the visitor was lured into clicking what looks like a genuine site button.
Only cookies with referrer as 3rd party site should count, affiliate cookies should not be set if the referrer is chaturbate.com (including short links or redirects that originated from chaturbate.com).
If those models want to be affiliates, all well and good, but let them put in the work like affiliates.

Cookies do NOT override on Chaturbate.com. The original person to refer the surfer will get credit for the registration/sale.
Send traffic to your own page. Chaturbate is awesome **because** they allow the models freedom to do things like this, even if it encourages stupid shit like DMCA protection on a streaming webcam site.
Wouldn't all screenshots fall under commentary anyhow?

I just saw this myself as well.. before searching for an actual thread here on gfy.com, I've contacted the support to see what's up... here's what I got
Dear zerovic,
If a user signs up using these model's links, then the credit will go to the model, even if they clicked on your affiliate link first.
Let us know if you require any further assistance, and we will be happy to help!
Thank you,

Here's my original message to their support
Hi,
Recently I saw that some models place big links on their chat rooms where it says "Sign Up" or other kind of stuff... How I see, these links are their own affiliate links, which means, they don't only make money from their own show, but if they refer a new user they will make a commission from that too... Which is completely fine, but
What if someone who gets to chaturbate.com from my affiliate link, simply sees this big "Sign Up" button and clicks it... who gets the credit for this user? Will my affiliate code be overwrited by the models affiliate id, or the new users will still go under me?

My response
Wow, then why do you allow these kind of stuff? So basically, a model can steal my traffic with these eye catchy links? This has to be fixed asap!
And the last response
Dear zerovic,
Every user has the ability to earn referral bonuses through their referral links.
Thank you for your suggestion. We are working hard to improve the site and will consider your feedback for future improvements.

... btw... every program can choose to honor first cookie or last. In NATS it is called passive link or active link. Punker replied originally that it was a passive link (i.e. first cookie stays, and then has responded saying it is last cookie). Whatever the tracking system, you can honor either. Those that buy a shit ton of pops would cookie a passive link so their link stands no matter who sent the traffic.
They should honor the first cookie. The affiliate got the user to the website.
Again, and as I implied here we have here a company that gives a crap about their reputation and sees affiliates and models as disposable, but has not realized that without affiliates and models they would run out of business.
LiveGoddess and kokette are models who are 6-8 hours every day and are among the most visited girls. Basically CB is saying "FUCK YOU" to affiliates

Yes, we do this to prevent cookie stuffing. However, once a referred customer registers a free account, then he is that affiliate's customer. There will always be winners and losers with tracking. Cookies mean little when they are not accepted or deleted anyway ...

Not sure why your response applies to thus thread. A program owner can choose either one.

You miss the point, cookies in the real world have a very limited shelf life with many only accepted for no more than that session only. If you can't register a user, e.g. free signup, or make a paid conversion, within that session -- persistent cookies do not matter like they did in 1998 ...
You fight a battle when their is no war to be won.

Its not great for some of us that send paid traffic and use traffic from our organic sites for them only to be overridden. I work bloody hard trying to get the most amount of traffic i can to the people i promote.
We spend lots of money on ads that do not convert for us and our own cookies are overwritten by affiliates that benefit from our advertising efforts in brand recognition when they click in from an affiliate's website and that referral makes a purchase.
We give that spending to the affiliates benefit as well as our own. Sword cuts both ways usually.
The only way to ensure that you benefit from a conversion is to get a free signup on most cam sites that pay lifetime.
However, I don't allow our models to override cookies from our camsite -- that is not fair to me or our affiliates

I'd believe Shirley over those support people anyday.
TripleXPrint on Megan Fox "I would STILL suck her pussy until her face caved in. And then blow her up and do it again!"

If the affiliate cookie is the only means of tracking the referrer then the original affiliate gets credit - I checked by looking at the cookies themselves...
It's hard to say if that's a good or a bad thing considering all the circumstances - For the time being just use a WL - There is no issue then.....
cause most of the promo tools are not for the cobrand to use
for example, the embed video chat tool
You know you can use any promo tool for your WL , even the embed chat room you need to use the iframe code and you only chage chaturbate.com with yourdomain.com ! You can even use the APIs with your WL is simple ! The main reason sending traffic to the chaturbate not to a WL is because it converts much better than a WL !

Iâ??m sorry to see our support gave you false information. Our cookies do not override. If a surfer clicks an affiliate link to Chaturbate, purchases tokens using a broadcasters link, the original person (affiliate) will get credit for that purchase and all future purchases. Once a surfer is a associated an affiliate itâ??s permanent regardless of what links are used to purchase.

After further review I was mistaken. The correct answer to your question is the original affiliate will get credit for the sale. Once a surfer is associated with the affiliate all future sales will be credited to original affiliate regardless of what link they used to purchase.
Let us know if you require any further assistance, and we will be happy to help!
