My valuing com has nothing to do with google/seo, especially after they even stopped giving value to keywords in domain names.
I would take italianclub.com over italian.club any time. And pretty sure majority would do the same.
And it is actually easier to remember because people are used to coms, not to hundreds of new useless tlds. They do not even have to think, they just know it is a com most of the time. Anything else comes confusing.Comment

I also got italian.xyz to make it seem like a decent package deal.
Basically I have a year to either use them to make $1 each in ad revenue or sales or to build up the SEO enough to make it worth more than $1 to a buyer for them to break even.
It's also good in that case since Google says it doesn't really favor any TLD over another and I'm hoping that the fact that they're using abc.xyz will influence them to somehow favor .xyz TLDs..
