Yes, I still have a 4 year old MacBook Air which works perfectly. The SSD was replaced once under warranty and would have been $580. Apple sucks so badly.
I think it's a learning curve for some. That's why they complain. -

Used Adobe Premiere Pro on a Mac Pro recently to do some encoding and I was surprised at how fast it was. Faster than our big Windows Vegas machine.

Paying more is a myth, I have changed 3 PC laptops ( overheating, noise, graphic card failure ) in a life time of one apple Macbook Pro. I do not like macs, well the OS. Even iphones. Your paying more for the name.
The hardware is good, but dollar for dollar you can easily get a better performing PC machine. In my case I have built my own computers with windows 7 on it; Microsoft provides the flexibility I need.
I still have every PC laptop I have owned, all work to this day and they have been used heavily.
I know people who have hardware issues with their macs, same with people and PC's. Some have issues some dont no matter the name. People also forget PC's encompass a bunch of other brands while Mac is one.
One frustration I do have with windows 7 is that it is not as efficient it could be with AMD 8 core CPU's. I have not tried windows 10 yet.Comment
