How much money have you spent on playing against bots that are coded to remain 10% stronger than you no matter how strong you become? -

I'm at level 46 and never spent a cent on itCarbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

i hate those fucking commercials on tv. i'll change the channel if i see ads for games like that. they just play them over and over. i decided to stop watching live tv because of such commercials. clash of clans or whaever its called is another one.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

I only like playing a few games on a phone, like Hitman Go or a SNES emulator.
Most of those fremium games suck, they make it just fun enough to keep playing and make you want to buy an upgrade. "Yeah, let's charge money for our own game currency, lol"...
If you pay to beat a game quicker, you're basically paying more to play it less...

I've been playing for a month without spending any real money. It was tough to figure out the best base defense, but now I rarely get raided successfully...and I've finally started winning offensive raids. Things won't really start coming together until around level 18 (I'm at 24 now), but remember that there's always bigger fish in the pond who can smack you down. But that goes the other way also. I know this may be hard, but show me a screen grab of your defenses.
One tip I can give you is to keep the higher range guns like sniper nests behind the base. Machine guns for flankers. I have a row of three cannons right in the front middle.
It's frustrating, but can also be very rewarding. I'm in awe of the awesome game SuperCell created.

If you spend money or dont spend money you will do exactly the same in the game. Zero spend keeps you 10% weaker than others who spend zero. 1M spend keeps you 10% weaker than anyone else who spent 1M or bots...Comment

Hmmm, and I was thinking in game purchases could really put someone over the top. And I know there's people who like to win no matter what but I don't understand that mentality.
I get a better feeling of accomplishment by not buying diamonds. When I do accumulate a nice diamond stash, I always end up using a few to finish a build that's almost done, rather than just building something instantly.

Loosen up placement a little. When I scout an enemy player the first thing I look for in an easy win is a player who bunches up his guns right next to each other. This way I can conserve gunboat energy with 2 for 1 kills on splash damage. I can almost guarantee that's why you're getting hammered often.
My base is more centered, with the turrets as I described earlier in the thread. The way you have it now, once the front loaded defense is chewed up they can charge right in for the kill. Also, use your economy buildings as obstacles the enemy has to go through. Sometimes when they don't have a flare available, the dumb troops will attack a residence instead of that precious cannon.

you need to upgrade everything.
one thing i did not realise to begin with is that you can upgrade your troops.
also upgrade your salalight thing, then take over as many basis as you can. as this = gold and other stuff.
work out what level you can attack and keep to that.
i find anything over 40 and i loose.
to be honest, do not worry about being attacked. just keep upgrading and upgrading.Comment

Here's my setup, that hasn't been raided in over a week. I have changed a few things recently, but this "spread out" setup has been getting raided rarely.

On offense, I've really been liking having at least two carriers with 5 zookas each. They bring up the rear while my heavies and hammer warriors keep defenses busy. And I always have one carrier full of basic troops to use as sniper fodder.
Upgrade your flares. They can decide a battle and they have for me many times.

i'll stretch em out and move those bldgs.
the prob at this point is cash flow and wood flow. i had to upgrade hq to get to upgrade to what i could, but had to upgrade a bunch of other stuff to upgrade more stuff so i can upgrade hq. i shoot my wad on that and then let my gold and wood build up so i can upgrade but while i'm waiting i get raided. i understand it's by design, buy some diamonds and just pay to upgrade my shit before it gets blowed up.Comment

i have not had to buy any diamonds.

keep looking at your main map as often treasure chests pop up. Clip on them and you get diamonds.
But more islands you raid, the more gold you get each day.
Your aim should be attacking as many islands as you can.Comment

and take any resource base you can. They help with cash and wood flow.
I'll second what DVtimes said about attacking as many bases as you can. Go for the easy victories on the computer opponent, and pick carefully the human players you want to attack.
Sometimes I'll try and fail multiple times to demolish someone's base once I get determined.

all the opponents in my visible map are > strength and such than me. I've lost all my raid attempts on all of them lately. I've maxed out on radar, i had planned on upgrading radar today, in the meantime, there are no islands to raid. each raid attempt on human beaches costs me ~3000 gold because i have to get new guys.Comment

upgrade your radar.
by the way i find the bazookers are best for fighting.
see what works for you, but i find they seem to take a lot to be killed and do more damage when shooting.Comment

they're actually very fragile...but can stand back at a good distance. I like to have other troops keeping guns busy while they sit back and blow up everything.

I use scorchers, heavies and zooka's. At your level I would use a equal amount of heavies and zooka's. Zooka's have a long range and are great for taking out flamethrowers because they have a better range. Heavies get right in their face.
Scorchers are flamethrowing tanks! Loads of fun. hah, that's nutty. how long did it take you to get this far? i would say the challenge is figuring out the order to best upgrade shit.
is there a general order to follow? like don't bother updating your boat if your such and such isn't at least level so&so?
one thing i can't seem to gather up are minerals. so i can't sculpt any idols to boost production yet.Comment

the trick is to make your base look like something that can't easily be raided. Sometimes I raid players of a higher level and win, because they've created weak spots in their setup.
An offensive tip: When scouting, check the radius of the guns and look for blind spots you can sit in. Sometimes you can just ignore entire areas of their base because it's of no consequence to your objective of destroying the headquarters. When doing a pre-shelling of the base, only target the guns that can reach your pre-planned path. But the path you planned can go haywire if you run out of flares, which is why it's so important to have the maximum time on the flare you can get.

As far as order, I go back and forth with defense and offense 50/50Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff.
