    Would switching to XFORO bring GFY back to life?

    Xforo does a great job of allowing people to follow each other's updates as well as notifying people of new posts on their threads (in addition to likes, etc).

    Do you think switching to Xforo would bring back some of GFY's past engagement glory?

    Why or why not?

              What is Xforo?

              I think the GFY reduction is because it is both annoying and unutterably boring to see the same sigless trolls posting the same poorly constructed political bullet points at each other.

                  It's another commercial forum script which is better then vbulleting and to which most of huge forums online switched from vbulletin. The reason why gfy have low traffic is simple - adult industry is more less death, majority of webmasters are not doing paysites anymore, but cams,dating and mobile.

                          Maybe this is true but in my reality I've been shooting my content and creating sites since '99. I've seen a new industry settle into itself over the years and a set way of doing things while weaker competition drops off or cashes out and you end up with a few really big players, a few less big, etc.

                          Back on topic I think Xforo would be great as long as the design allows for GFY to keep its edgy look

                              I think the main problem for the one did not switch yet is because many VB features and add on is still not compatible with xenforo. A switch over will result in Lost of exemple : reputation point, lost of like and dislike etc... I have a talk about it a while back and this was mainly the reply i was getting when asking around.

                                      I am not sure is there any vb only feature used here at all. I mean, it is quite basic VB here, even more basic then fresh install of vb.

                                          Unless Eric don't want the Headache lol for a week to stabilize the transfer to Xenforo. There is Always a Huge headache coming from a transition of that type no mather what. But im all for it i would like to see it happen for GFY too.

                                                                      Yeah digital point moving from vbulletin to xenforo was a huge task , but they had to do it as vbulletin was crushing toomuch. Tho, this board dont have problem with toomuch traffic lol.
