I enjoyed the CNN Doc. I did not go to either of the movie theatre drama movies.
I bought my first Mac in 1984, and have owned at least one of almost every thing they have made since - except the iPod line.
I have my MacMini, iPhone 5, iPad 2014, Watch, one model year back. I also have an Android Tablet, Chromebook, and Galaxy 5 phone. I've written Apps, and need iOS and Android to test them on. Android and iOS 7 Map Apps for Gay/Lesbian Travel
Jobs was a pig. when he sent in storm troopers to take out the blogger who was posting pics of the unreleased Iphone4 that was left at a bar, i was done with him. his narcissist, me-obsessed Icrap costs 3x as much for the same power as PC. oh & he never donated to charity, denied ever having a daughter for years.

thats the kind of person you look up to.
Personally, I don't give a fuck about who he was. I like Apple products and will continue using them until I find something that suits me better.
I've been building my own PCs since x286. My Wife got the original Macbook Air and for the first time ever, she was able to use a computer and not fuck something up. I watched and helped her with it for a year or two and liked what I saw. So, when I was due for a new laptop, I bought my first MacBook Pro. Functionally, it was the best laptop I've ever had and it outlasted all the others. I'm on my second one now.
I'm not a fan of the size of the current iPhone so I've been looking at other options. So far I haven't found anything I like better.

But did you watch the doc?
Also Joshua, the price you pay for a computer shouldn't be just about the power. It should be a combination of power, ease of use, reliability and especially support. I have used both PC's and Macs and I am just endlessly more productive on my Macs. I was a dedicated PC user before I switched too, so give me a little credit on this.

Me either. I like Apple products so thats why I buy them. I learned something new though: When he was younger he used to go to HP in his spare time to learn how to program one of their newest calculators and learn whatever he could about it. I thought that was cool because when I was a kid I used to go to a Radio Shack after school and learn how to write software for the TRS-80 they had on display. I absolutely *loved* doing it, and that part of the Jobs doc reminded me of that.

Same here! I built and used PC's forever and stopped in 2008.
Last November I had to add a PC to my office for a special project. I have 2 Mac's and 1 PC. The PC is an Alienware with fast graphics, SSD drives, etc. It's super-fast, but man on man Windows still sucks. While I think the new Windows 10 interface is probably the nicest they've ever done, it's still just so buggy. I've had to revert to previous installations 3 times since I've had it, plus a few of the usual windows crap I'm sure you've heard about already. My Mac's never ever give me grief.
Comparing Steve Jobs and Apple against Bill Gates and Microsoft, makes Gates look like an saint. He gives insanely much to charity even out of his own pocket, Jobs on the other hand did not and stopped Apple fro doing any also. I dont like any of them, but must admit that atleast Gates uses alot of his money for good.

Gates isn't really giving money to charity, he's redistributing money that he would have otherwise had to pay to Mr Taxman, he's sends it to places which help his other investments. E.g. you send in autoimmune disease inducing vaccines into a nation 'Free for Charity', then you profit from your pharmaceutical investments when they sell the country drugs to treat the people you induced disease in. Spreading HIV in 'Free' vaccines makes good business sense too.
These people worship money, they don't care about the human cost. Even Steve Jobs was happy to have slaves in China; there were nets outside the buildings to stop them committing suicide, so as Apple didn't have to waste money training new slaves.
Didn't Apple have a program that gave free mac computers to public schools during the 80's and 90's?? Or was that during the time Jobs was not at Apple?

either way, that was a marketing scheme to get people hooked on Apple products when they're children.
...........
there's nothing special about steve jobs, just like there's nothing special about mark zuckerberg. neither has contributed anything original to society.
