Rant Working with mentally ill clients.

I have one who plays silly or simply is nuts. I mean, deal is deal, comes out we never had it and my $$ request comes as demand. Work's done, pay up, bitch. No, he thinks he owns a bang wagon LOL. Loves talking over the phone, damn, I get off the phone with headache, who the fuck talks on the phone these days, only Patagonia founder who still lives in a shed.
Been paying me so far, but all the circus around.

I know it's business as usual, but LOL.

I prefer to talk on the phone for projects only because my explanations via email often sound greek and leave people like...huh?

I have only found one amazing programmer who can figure out my fucked up email language and he's worth his weight in gold to me. But he will still get on the phone when I need him to.

I've found it's best not to have clients.

You cant get me to work for you these days. Affiliate programs only, and I only do it my own way, by myself. Dont have time for phone bullshit or long walks on the beach.

I am the same, got rid of my last client last year and that was the best day, actually celebrated by giving myself a massive hangover and gave myself the day off

Fuck clients, just a nightmare to deal with.

Some people talk on the phone to avoid confusion. I know plenty of people which sends me SMS or e-mail and I really have no clue what they've trying to say.

Some people talk on the phone just to get some "hey buddy, human level" expecting better prices or some other advantage.

Some people talk on the phone because they are inpatient and don't want to wait hours to receive reply to an e-mail.

Email seems clearer to me, always seems unnecessary to go on phone or Skype, I might end up agreeing to something without having had enough time to think about it

when i do work for a client i prefer phone calls. I only had 1 really horrible client over the years but that was also due to myself in severely underestimating the project. Hated every second of it.

Then the guy emailed me a few months back for a same type of project... i declined.
