    Tech Oculus Rift Pre-Orders to Open on January 6

    Today, weâ??re excited to announce that pre-orders for Rift will open on Oculus.com at 8am Pacific Time on January 6! Weâ??ll be sharing everything you need to know to order your Rift on Wednesday when pre-orders go live.

    As a reminder, every Rift comes bundled with Luckyâ??s Tale by Playful, and weâ??re also including CCPâ??s EVE: Valkyrie for free with every pre-order!

    This is going to be an exciting week for VR, so Oculus founder Palmer Luckey will be answering all your questions during a Reddit AMA this Wednesday, January 6 at 6pm Pacific Time. We look forward to hearing from you.

          I have the developers kit and its pretty cool. Can't wait to see what the finished product will be like.

                  This is actually pretty exciting. FINALLY.

                  Curious who's producing adult content for the platform - film, not 3DGFX... I have a decent budget and a half dozen GoPro's I already use but no idea where to begin other than some experimentation with G Cardboard. I've seen some really really amateur stuff and some more polished examples of what's possible.

                  Anyone who has experience DM me. Would love to chat.

                      I tried Samsung Gear VR with a Galaxy S6 and still wasn't all that impressed. A lot better than cardboard, but I could still see some pixelation, and still felt like I was looking through binoculars with a limited peripheral view.

                      If occulus doesn't improve on those 2 factors, bleh.

                                              Content can still be pirated and watched on this device right?

                                              Just wondering, not saying it's not a good opportunity to make content and make money, just wondering if there's any change at all to the pirating angle

                                                      Yup, definitely ordering one, for gaming. I've played one of the release games (Eve Valkyrie) and even 2 years ago with the kit then, it was amazing.
