I don't know how I missed it during the nominations but I somehow ended up as a finalist for best designer.

While I am quite flattered by this I am somewhat dumbfounded because I am not a designer. I do not represent myself as a designer. I do not attempt to pretend to be a designer. Simple fact is that I am a programmer and as such my UIs have been known to poison people and have been responsible for several deaths.

So, in respect for the people on the list that are actually designers please do not vote for me in the best designer category.

I would not want the GFY awards to become a sham or anything.
