Why would anyone be jealous of a junkie who has lost everything? Using the word "hater" is often the final refuge of someone who has no argument or defense.

I don't look at this guy and see "a cool guy".
I see a guy very near death and a bunch of dipshits cheering it on.
Just like that kid that was getting tats of logos of industry companies, i kept saying over and over he had a problem and needed help, not enabling and people thought i was a dick. He's dead now. Thats how these stories end. Jay has threatened suicide many times. Thats not the real problem, thats just one more symptom. The issue is that he's spun so far out of control that emotionally, he's hanging by a thread and self medicating is all he has. Clearly he can't function well high/drunk. Clearly, he can't act professional high/drunk. Clearly his judgement is impaired as he thinks its cool to profit from a guy spreading AIDs or by faking a relationship with a c list celeb to "mourn his loss" for profit, then comes here and acts out and lashes out - demonstrating the depth of his personal problems... not to mention the ever so common junkie theme of "nothing is my fault, ever" (as accepting personal responsibility for anything he's done/doing would mean having to confront the tough issues affecting his life and choices and confront his addiction for what it is... a life ending problem)
If anyone in this biz gave a shit about him at all, you'd be trying to help him. If most people in this biz didn't have their heads up their asses, swimming in their own issues, they'd recognize right away that this is someone in deep trouble. Serious trouble. The clock is ticking for this guy and things are going to end very badly for him, very soon.
Any idiot should have seen this coming for him. Before he even moved to LA, he was openly blogging about drug abuse and partying non stop and posting pics of him snorting coke off of strippers. Then he blew all his money on a huge house, nice cars and threw parties non stop wanting everyone to see how cool he was as he imploded. Now, quite predictably, he lost everything he has. Someone who is already a very weak person, dependent on self medicating to kill the pain is NOW in the most vulnerable emotional state he'll ever be in and dying right in front of you.
Help him..

besides, many times the best way to help an addict/alcoholic is to let them reach their bottom, only then are they open to professional help.Comment

I was inactive on the board to see his rise, but I'm here to see his fall, and the problem with him in his fall is he has zero humility. He calls people names, he's aggressive, he lashes out, blames everyone else for his issues, tries to cash in on others tragedy's etc
Be humble. That's what will help. People like to help people who are humble.Comment

A great quote from an attorney i know about a weird situation I was in and the irrational responses from them.
"you'll never have a rational conversation with irrational people, you'll never have a mature conversation with immature people, you'll never have a reasonable conversation with unreasonable people etc". You can't evaluate ones behavior by contrasting it to your own when they are in a severely impaired mental / emotional and physical state and then expect him to behave as you do, decide as you do, understand as you do etc.
That won't happen.
Until he says "i'm fucked, i need help or i'll die",.... he'll continue down this path until he dies. A functional alcoholic might die slowly, he seems to have much more serious problems and likely doesn't have much time. His behavior shows how much trouble he's in. How skewed and distorted his understanding is of himself and his interactions with others and how delusional he is about his direction in life and the depth of denial there is in his personal problems and how they are destroying him.
My big problem with people like this is that historically, others follow them around talking about what a great guy they are - enabling their behavior and denial, instead of showing it for what it is,... the final days of an imploding addict..
