    Looking For a Mentor

    I've been on GFY for some time, but allow me to introduce myself, I'm a young guy who has been involved with affiliate marketing for a while and a few years ago I entered into the adult niche.

    I haven't had any stable success, only ever received a few checks for small amounts - but I've continued to learn and work towards reaching a decent level.

    I recently started to promote cams and I've had a few conversions with Chaturbate, but I really feel that cams could be the answer to my goal of $50 a day, and eventually $100 a day - but only if done right.

    I know this is a long shot, but I'm looking for a mentor and some guidance on how to formulate a proper strategy for me to promote cams correctly and reach my goal.

    Hopefully we can share contacts and work towards achieving this.

    I could also join the programs that I will promote using the mentors affiliate code and then they would benefit with residual income.

    I hope this post results in something as I would really appreciate some guidance with this.

    Let's chat and hopefully we can work something out.

          You can find some tips here : Advices for adult webmasters , resources , traffic , free SEO tips ! like SEO tips , cam sponsors , some hosting recommendations , traffic brokers recommendation and more other usefull things ! To reach you 100$/day goal is easy you just need few good sites/blogs and some SEO work and once you get organic traffic money will flow !

                              Many people from GFY have helped me over the years. One in particular became a sort of "mentor" of mine. This person taught me a bit about business but most importantly, they taught me a lot about life. I consider it to be the single most beneficial relationship I've had from this forum...Not necessarily the best friendship I've found here but the most valuable resource for life in general, without a doubt.

                                          That's exactly what I'm looking for as well, business is all about networking. I have a few GFYers that I look up to and I would definitely cherish having a mentor figure - someone to look up to and learn from.

                                          I'm not sure if you've watched the series Shark Tank or Dragons Den, but I'm trying to find my Shark or Dragon in this wild adult industry

                                              Mainstream affiliate marketing is also an option, my few mainstream sites are running but not really converting.

                                              I get a thrill promoting adult because of its taboo reputation, I think adult cams definitely have the potential for me to reach my goal of $50 a day, now just to put a plan together to get there - that's the key.

                                                  Many people miss the networking portion of GFY. TBH, The networking offered through the forum and the gatherings they used to do had a significant impact on my business.

                                                  Another forum member turned me on to Shark Tank when it first came out. The "mentor" I'm referring to definitely qualifies as that type of person.

                                                      I'm actually going to make a conscious effort to improve my networking skills this year because as you say it can make a huge difference.

                                                      I really enjoy Shark Tank, I like how the Sharks can be tough and straight forward - but they also offer very valuable advice to the business owners who appear on the show.

                                                      You're a lucky guy to have a mentor like that, well done.

                                                          From experience here is what I have found to be true: if a person is HIGHLY MOTIVATED they will find a way, with or without a "mentor". You WILL find help along the way tho, sometimes from unexpected sources. The KEY is to never give up, work every single day (yes including weekends) and burn with so much fire YOU WILL NOT BE STOPPED.

                                                          If I find a person like that - and he/she PROVES it to me over time by doing the above - then I will help them in depth. Otherwise, a word of advice here or there.

                                                          My point? Motivated people who are driven, often by extreme need, win. Simple as that. Best of luck!!

                                                          PS: Shark Tank RULES and I would do such dirty things to that hot blonde spinner Lori Grenier. LOL

                                                                  Wise words indeed, you're spot on. I have tried a few different ideas, I bought traffic and sent it to my whitelabel, that didn't work, so then I bought traffic again and sent it to another whitelabel, that also didn't work. SEO is a better option, unless I can get the traffic buying strategy right. I'm just looking to put a proper strategy in place.

                                                                      It can be tough to hear at first, but sometimes we all need a dose of reality. Similar to when Kevin O'Leary (Mr Wonderful) tells entrepreneurs that their ideas suck - he's very straight forward and says "Take it behind the barn and shoot it".

                                                                                                                  My little piece of advice? Get yourself to a show or two and meet some people face to face.

                                                                                                                  That wont guarantee you find a mentor of course, but it will certainly increase your chances when doing future networking that certain people know of you and can vouch that you are a real serious person who has taken the trouble of attending shows etc and not just a name and text on a computer screen.

                                                                                                                  Face to face meetings will go a long way in helping you achieve your goals, even if its just hanging out socially as part of a larger group.
