    Since there's quite a few vaping folks here on GFY - and as an e-cig/vape user myself - I wanted to pass along preliminary findings from this new study they're releasing from Harvard.

      I was vaping for a while and it did something to my lungs. It is some toxic shit. The PG or VG coats your lungs with a film and you cough shit out all the time. Most juices are just made from some experimenting hipster in his living room anyway and sold to these shops. I gave it up and just chew nicotine gum.

                          I was in a Hong Kong 7/11 and ask about vaping products. They guy told me:
                          Hong Kong the sale and possession of nicotine-based electronic cigarettes, classified as a Type I Poison, is governed under the Pharmacy and Poisons Ordinance. Sale or possession is not authorized and both are considered punishable with a fine of up to HK$100,000 and/or a prison term of 2 years.

                          He said in China they do no testing on the vape juice and make it out of anything that smells good and is cheap. They also make counterfeit U.S. made vape juice. Their factories are making this poison 24 hours a day and shipping as fast as they can to make as much money as possible before the dumb Americans figure out there killing themselfs.

                              The title "Chemicals linked with severe respiratory disease found in common e-cigarette flavors" is a bit misleading...

                              all they found is that certain potentially harmful substances were "detected"... but that's meaningless, one could "detect" trace quantities of lead in tomatoes or trace mercury in fish and then write a headline implying that eating tomatoes or fish is dangerous...

                              no where did they say that these substances were detected in unsafe quantities...

                                  The stuff I get is USP certified inhalation grade, a bit better than good grade.
                                  You guys know how I used to do blogging while smoking 5-10 hookahs in a row, right?.. I haven't touched one hookah since getting an eHookah and I can feel the difference in breathing much better after about a month and a half. If it's flavoring that's bad for you, get it unflavored..

                                                                              Not a fan of the ecigs. I tried them for two days and got some chest pains. Like mild heartburn. Stopped and it went away. I'll stick to smoking weed or real cigarettes.

                                                                                  Yeah, weed is probably the best alternative to smoking. When I vape, I get the higher nicotine so that I'll hit it once or twice and I'm good for a while rather than smoking a hookah for about 45 minutes non stop.. I'm trying to quit and it helps, and no coals or tobacco to deal with..

                                                                                      When it comes to WEED vaping this is doubly (or triply) true. A joint gets you about 18% THC while a weed ecig (when NOT inhaled but held in the mouth for a few seconds then exhaled) will get you a whopping 85-90% THC!

                                                                                      For anyone inhaling weed vape try holding it in your mouth, like sipping in soda through a straw but not swallowing. It will KNOCK YOU OUT.

                                                                                                                                                                              no because smoking is pointless and doesn't really do anything for anyone. it doesn't get you high, i just don't see the point if you want to stop risking your life with cigarettes why vape instead inhaling unknown unregulated chemicals? why not just stop completely? is the vaping really doing anything that great that you need to keep doing it? if you have the willpower to stop smoking, you can stop vaping too. i'd sooner smoke crack than smoke cigarettes and it seems 70-8-% of the people vaping have no idea what might even be in it or care, they just think its healthier because thats what they're told.

                                                                                                                                                                                  I quit vaping about a month ago today actually and it was exponentially harder than quitting analogs. Ease of use and more frequency due to ease of use increased the addiction. My withdrawals lasted 2 weeks instead of 3-4 days.

Show me something that says vaping is worse for me than my smokes, and none of this 'may' 'trace amounts' bollocks, and I'll switch back to smokes full time. Until then I'll be using my ecig substitute.
